I'm not drinking any of that "It doesn't matter cool aid". I'm pissed. How many times are we going to miss out on an elite level player, Kaka, Hazard, Van Persie and now Falcao. Plus we have now unsettled Negredo. Why did they have to raise my hopes up, if this del was never discussed and he just went to Utd I wouldn't have even been this pissed. Fuck FFP, Fuck UTD.
yaya,silva,sergio,fernandinho,kompany,navas,nasri,...etc....
shite aren't they mate?

Silva and Yaya are elite players but when we signed them they weren't. They became elite at City. Navas is not elite. Aguero was an upcoming superstar and became a super star at City. Kompany was definitely not elite when we signed him. He's from the Shinawatra era. Nasri was a very good Arsenal player and I still won't call him elite. I'm talking about blockbuster transfers like signing Neymar or Vidal or Bale. Those kind of deals.

From the outside looking in... We have been had by utd. They need a panic buy and a statement that they aren't getting left behind. We on the other hand, haven't made a 'big name' signing since aguero and let them pip us to the post? If negredo wants out, which he does, why aren't we signing a striker to replace him? Allowing Falcao to sign for utd and strengthen them is crazy when we are in need for him just as much as them if negredo goes. Knew we wouldn't win the battle. Anyone remember hazard not choosing us when we was in for him? Isco? And now Falcao... Something isn't right there, we are prem champions, in the champions league.. And yet can't compete in the transfer market with utd or Chelsea for that matter?

We'll pay for this!! Stinks of the year RVP chose them over us and won them the league..

sniff sniff

Sky repeating the line from a "source" that City were never that interested, but were offered the player.
Exactly. So how the fuck are man yoo a bigger draw to players than city even though we we're never interested???

Fucking bunch of mard arses. Happens every window. A player is linked to us on last day all the Itk say it's on so does twitter. Last few hours he goes somewhere else (even though 9/10 times city we're never intrested in the 1st place) posters then blame club, Itks etc... And act as if the world's just ended)
If we really wanted him I'm pretty sure we'd get him.

If you feel the need to add "insider" into you name then you're clearly talking bollocks!
its the isco guy from last summer, great at getting hopes up though

Yeh same guy lol

haha i loved him, he just didnt give a fuck what the media said, pissed of alot of madrid fans

Jesus christ.

Is Aguero not a marguee name?

What about Mangala? The most high profile centre back available this summer? Barca had to settle for Verm and another 30 year old. United have had to sign Rojo. Chelsea haven't signed a replacement for Luiz. They all would have wanted Mangala but we got him.

If we sell Negredo this summer you can bet your bottom dollar that we will sign Reus or El Shaarawy next summer for mega cash.

The big thing I'm really struggling to understand is why would Madrid prefer to take hernandez on loan over falco something just doesn't add up?
Maybe it's a popularity thing, Mexican support will grow in the club whereas they already have James Rodriguez.

Its baffled me pal well nasty has said he's staying so we could drop mdm from champs lge squad and still sign a replacement for negredo! Clutching at straws me think were done for the day!

I cannot believe how scared and intimidated some of you clowns still are of man United. Even now.

Proper inferiority complex.

Agree

They are basically rolling the dice and spunking all the front loaded dosh from Adidas on players and wages
They are two bad injuries away from total meltdown

We on the other hand are going about our business calmly, professionally and with a vision

Which of these business models is more likely to succeed? Think about it

Btw, there´s also the violent tornado we will unleash if/when FFP gets the heave-ho from the ECJ

CL or no CL, looks like the Rags are still a bigger draw than us. This is exactly how it will play out in the media.
They indisputably are. For now.
steady on mate, they really are not. mendez is notorious for being a hard bargainer and i think we would have said no at the wages being touted and the £51m fee. do you think Txixi would be dictated to by an agent? We tried to get it done on our terms, it didn't work out, United then jumped in because they need class players.
Apologies. I didn't make myself clear.

As things stand with FFP restrictions in place they can exceed anything we can offer, if they so wish. That, allied to their prominence as a club makes them a bigger pull, certainly with marquee signings.

Once the FFP handcuffs are off and we continue to grow as a club the dynamics will change.

They have the spending power now and for the foreseeable future. They were never going to be away for long once the joke that FFP is was brought in. Very frustrating.

Back to the Cafe for you my boy...

Well, nobody can complain about the effect Hazard has had at Chelsea, despite inflated agent fees.

For a club obsessed with building a global brand, we sure do avoid the marquee signings though. Aguero in 2011 the last? Maybe next summer, but most of our signings are not shirt-selling types. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing for the team, but I'm always reading articles about how Soriano wants us to be a global powerhouse.

Personally it's not fear of the Scum, it's irritation at knowing we have to sell Negredo but probably won't replace him.

Well let's see if that happens. Even if it does it wouldn't unduly bother me because we can always play silva or yaya behind the striker. The singing if Fernando helps in that regard.

It just seems like for some they've got the football equivalent of Little Man Syndrome: constantly seeking reassurance by winning every battle.

There's clearly much more to this than 'player chooses city over united' or vice versa.
