Fallout 4

Cheers, that's made the 50s references clearer. Sounds pretty good!

I still have MGS and the Witcher 3 to complete. On top of that Star Wars Battlefront has been pre-ordered.

Save yourself £50 and cancel your star wars pre-order. Will be watchdogs level of let down.

Can't wait for this, i've preordered it on the ps4. Set for automatic download. I bought wasteland 2 on the ps4 2 weeks ago which is basically Fallout meets xcom and is from the guys who made the original fallout games. Thought i might be burnt out on the whole post-apocalyptic world theme playing them both but it's only strengthened my anticipation for fallout 4. We've had some big blockbuster games this year but Fallout 4 is certain to top the lot.

Never played this before. Can it be played as a 2 player? .
Thinking about getting an Xbox one and looking for a game I can get the Mrs interested in as I would generally just play PES.

Thought Fallout 3 was fantastic, one of the best games I have ever played. Really struggled to get into New Vegas though mainly due to the tedious desert environment. I hope this one has an environment much more like 3.

Newbie to the series. Dunno how I feel about it yet. Some aspects are tremendous but it feels oddly dated at times. Cardboard trees FFS. The field of vision is tiny for some reason. Your wife looks like she came from a 2005 game, and the interaction with other characters / objects isn't anywhere near as responsive as I expected. Performances are good, setting is excellent, and there is lots of quite interesting stuff to do. Storytelling is... ok. It's all a bit gamey, and holds your hand to a ridiculous degree. Example, early objective markers. Why? It's an adventure, and it's really not hard at all to figure out where to go. Then he looks at the escape hatch and says 'I have to open it from the terminal'.... how does he know that? Why not just say, 'There must be a way to open it'. Anyone who can't figure out it's by the terminal in the same room needs shooting. Looks at the cryolator, "Nice, I'm coming back for you'.. but how does he know anything about this strange bit of tech? After about an hour I found myself coming up with a much better script in my head. Then there's loads of levelling up before you get any more story at all.

And it's definitely rushed. NPC just jumped into place right in front of me.

All in all, I'll probably only play it for 12 hours today.

I think judging it purely from it taking 7 years to produce; it is a flop. Is it all too samey samey from Fallout 3 when this is the next generation kiddos, you need to step up and dominate to dazzle, and take gaming to the next level.. still waiting for the game to come to the next gen consoles !!! how long is it going to take? can't wait for No Man's Sky.. now there is a game which is very carefully detailed and is not rushed (hence the delay). Fallout 4 had too much hype, the real hype should be for No Man's Sky IMO.

It seems a bit too repetitive and the dialogue is very dumbed down aimed at 5year olds..

Bethesda seem to get too much of a free pass.

My 4 word review of this would be; disappointing effort, expected more

Fuck ya's, I'm loving it. "Too much like Fall Out 3".........not such a bad thing. I pay for fifa each year and i can tell ya, now thats just a fecking scam

I think they've done a great job. The combat feels great and challenging, the enemy AI is on a different planet to their other games, I've not really got my teeth into the story yet cos there is just so much to do.

Just been playing it(pc ultra). I say playing it, more like I've spent the last two hours getting my features spot on.
