Is coke really that common at football matches in England?

Here in America the vast majority of crowd trouble at sporting events is from either 1) drunks or 2) people who are just aggressive generally regardless of anything they've taken. Not saying no one ever does anything harder but it's just not a common sight.

I've been in the away end before at Goodison and didn't see anything like this. Crowd trouble has obviously been a thing for ages but this is the first I've heard of a drugs issue.

You have a couple of reasons why it is different in the States.
Firstly the drinking age is strictly 21 and the attitude to being shitfaced on any alcohol / drug is frowned upon and if the police get involved the consequences are more severe than in the UK.
Secondly sports fans generally do not travel in large numbers due to geographical distances.
Yes when any American Football team visits Tampa Bay Bucs there are many away fans who have migrated to Florida present but there is no designated away fans section and therefore they are scattered all over the place so there is no mob mentality / hiding behind safety in numbers.
Thirdly prices tend to result in late teens / early 20's being absent from games (as they kind of do in the UK but prices are even higher)

Whenever I've had a 48 hour coke, pills, and booze session, I don't think I've bitten off someone's nose.

Coke has been affordable for at least 20 years. Who the fuck is this clown?
You don't think you have bitten someone's nose off? So you could have done then

It's not. At all.
I do 90% away games and yeah there's a few lads at it you notice but majority are pissed up.
Overall our away following is old and tame compared to most.

A very tidy mob from Chadderton/Middleton Junction back in the day.
Most are well behaved now, but still go to the games.

Tbh I’d also not heard of this firm until I read RR Book.
I remember he moved up to Oldham and he started knocking about with a few from that neck of the woods.
Gilly RIP from the Inspirals was around that area iirc?
I’m sure there was talk of the under 5s also.

Man you people are out of touch. This whole issue is simply a case of older generations not having done coke cos it wasn’t around / affordable back then and just not understanding its effects.

People eventually fall asleep after drinking for hours but before that they become loud aggressive and confrontational. Coke gives people confidence rather than aggression - big difference.

I’d sooner deal with a bar full of people coked up than a bar full of drunks.
Yet the younger generation do Ephedrine & Benzocaine & believe it to be cocaine

Fucking laughable post mate. Coke has been used in the UK for the past 100 years

You clearly have no idea what you’re taking or what you’re talking about

This graph doesn't suggest any huge changes over the last decade

Some people might have better info.
