Fan Behaviour

Cocaine and/or alcohol isn't an excuse, there's plenty of people that do one or both and aren't acting out. A **** is a **** no matter what theyve taken or who they support and will always act like one. Our fanbase has seen alarming rise in them over the last few years but we're no different than any other club in that regard.

Other than a few handbags on the side streets around the ground I saw no real trouble, after 18 months without a full ground and the whole Kane situation I was expecting a lot more in truth.

As for the Sancho and Rashford song, it's a bloody terrible song but yeah I joined in with it in the pubs beforehand and in the ground and will continue to do so until it dies in a few weeks time. it's mocking players from our rivals for fucking up, anybody who even begins to suggest its racially motivated needs their heads testing. Can't sing a song that's a bit mean because the player happens to be black? Fuck off.

I was in The Clock End and the City fans were at the far end. In my memory, as he ran over at the start of the game (or it might have been the start of the second half) and City fans were chanting "Let's all so a Seaman" and diving from side to side. He did it back and laughed.
I used to sit in the North Stand of the new stadium when he was with us. Seaman used to have a laugh and joke with the fans even then. Unfortunately, by that time his 'keeping had taken on comedic dimensions also.

Inflict as much damage as possible I'm guessing. It's a cunts trick and a cowardly way of fighting.

This is what you need to do

Ha ha that gave me a chuckle in an otherwise depressing thread.

The trick is to keep the fence, that is don't let them grab hold of you or get too close. Once the fucker is reaching towards you it's a threat, either push him away very hard, that lets him know you're ready to fight if he carries on or just lamp him on the jaw straight away if you're prepared to fight with no final warning.

This worked for me in a bar in Tenerife a couple of years ago. Some idiot was annoying everyone and had already burbled some rubbish to me once. I'd alerted the guy behind the bar that acts as a sort of unnoficial bouncer to watch him as he was a nuisance. After annoying a father and son he came back towards me reaching an arm out to grab me by the neck. I grabbed his arm and forcibly shoved him away telling him to fuck off. As he came back I whacked him hard in the chest with two hands shaving him backwards about four feet and shouted fuck off louder. This gave me space and I was lining him up for a right hook if he came forward again but the guy from behind the bar had spotted him and escorted him out. Job done, nobody got hurt just his ego.

Biting is a cunts trick and he used that to inflict the maximum damage in the shortest time as he probably thought the stewards would have intervened quickly. That's the problem when an experienced violent person argues with a reasonable person. Mr reasonable will be reluctant to get physical but Mr violent has no qualms usually resulting in something like this happening.

Sad one blue did this to another, I hope he's been caught.

Man you people are out of touch. This whole issue is simply a case of older generations not having done coke cos it wasn’t around / affordable back then and just not understanding its effects.

People eventually fall asleep after drinking for hours but before that they become loud aggressive and confrontational. Coke gives people confidence rather than aggression - big difference.

I’d sooner deal with a bar full of people coked up than a bar full of drunks.
Can’t decide if you’re being deliberately incendiary or not.

I’d say that both alcohol and coke are ‘mood enhancers’ if you are a fun chilled outlet guy and drink loads or snort loads then your mood is a enhanced. If you are a totally fucktard then coked up or pissed up you become more of a fucktard.

However I don’t think I agree with your statement about rather being in a room with a lid of cokeheads v drunks. From personal experience anyway.

There are many contributing factors to this fan behaviour thing, strength in numbers, people become braver etc but also it’s a cross section of society. And society has wankers and people who aren’t wankers. it’s just a shame that people who get called out as being wankers get defended by others who try to turn it into an intergenerational ‘you just don’t understand us’ argument.

Each to their own to a certain extent but you’d be a narrow minded fool to think that coke doesn’t contribute to the problems. Or you don’t actually understand the effects of coke on ‘your’ psyche. My experience of coked up people is they are not as charming, lucid or funny as they think they are.

As my daughter would say ‘You do you hun’

You can't blame alcohol for this. People spend all day drinking at the cricket yet you rarely see or hear about this kind of behavior. The rise in drug use, particularly Coke is obviously a factor but ultimately dickheads are going to act like dickheads. This isn't purely a City issue but more football in general.
