I actually did my own dissertation on the commercialisation of football too, but that was back in 1998 (twenty years ago, christ!) so the landscape was a bit different then. The seeds had already been sown though.

I've got 14th richest on the brain, but Wikipedia only shows us as reaching 17th richest in Europe in 2004/05. Either way, pretty remarkable.

Haha yes! As the researcher I had to keep my bias completely away from 'FCsCUM', because they did form a part of my literature review in the dissertation - but the common theme I was picking up in the answers were understandably not very impressed lol! So thought I would choose much better alternatives to garner some more friendlier answers!
