Fans back at the Etihad

No one has a scooby doo when we will be able to go back.

The sooner the better, but until a vaccine is available, i just can't see it happening, but hope I am wrong.

Got a meeting with the club on Monday - virtually of course - and I believe we're talking about how the immediate future looks.
I can't see how a small percentage of fans can be let back in fairly. A ballot would separate friend and families, every other row would do the same, how would getting in and out of the stadium be managed - row by row like an aeroplane just isn't feasible. How would the capacity on the toilets be managed, queuing to get in, using transport to get to the ground. It just isn't sensible and that's before you talk about away fans. I think it will be January at the earliest unless a vaccine is freely available before then.

A vaccine for 60m people is a pipe dream at the moment.

We won't be going back until there's a greater understanding of the long term effects of this thing, a reliable test and trace to squash flare ups, and/or a vaccine.

I have a new born and health issues in our family. I can't help but think all this rush to reopen for things like football is fucking idiotic. There's peer reviews starting to come in covering potential long term effect ands we don't know how this thing will pan out over the winter. Everyone over here seems to think we are past the worst of it and I really hope we are, but caution has been thrown to the wind it seems.

Exactly and they might never even come up with one.

They keep banging on about all these measures being implemented if it is safe to do etc but imho they will push ahead no matter what now, the economy is on its arse and they need to get it moving again.

What’s that got to do with covid ??

I understand I don't know you or your situation and, for all I know, you (or people close to you) may be especially vulnerable to the virus. In which case you have my sympathies.

My point was that there are risks in all walks of life.
Whether it be crossing roads or mixing with people.
Nothing is 100% safe.

That's all.
