Fans back at the Etihad

I can't see how a small percentage of fans can be let back in fairly. A ballot would separate friend and families, every other row would do the same, how would getting in and out of the stadium be managed - row by row like an aeroplane just isn't feasible. How would the capacity on the toilets be managed, queuing to get in, using transport to get to the ground. It just isn't sensible and that's before you talk about away fans. I think it will be January at the earliest unless a vaccine is freely available before then.
I wouldn't even want to go back until it was 100% safe to do so, which probably means a working vaccine. And what's the point of being in a stadium that's at best a quarter full?

so that's us at home to Dippers behind closed doors in September, the return game at the end of the season with a full house at Anfield.
Yep. Cos we struggled against them with an empty ground. City would cake walk a league with no fans because our style of play doesn’t require the crowd to “gee us on” as much as other teams as the ball does the work so much more

As long as you're one of those 500/0

Me personally, I have empathy will my fellow match goers. Which is why I fully believe that football should not have started until it was safe enough for everyone to go back.

As it stands, I don't think anyone should go back until all fans can.
Then Stadiums will be empty forever. You can get knocked over by a bus walking to the ground!

I think it would be best all round if we, say, started with the FOCs in CBL3 first home fixture, five games in and the FOCs from the East Stand could be let in, ten games in the hooligans in the family stand, and fifteen games in we let in the entire home section of the South Stand. Finally, the away fans are let in for the last game of the season at The Etihad. And under no circumstances is Dan Roan allowed on the Campus.

Oh, I don’t know about that. Sounds like a perfect place for him with all that COVID flying around.

Exactly and they might never even come up with one.

They keep banging on about all these measures being implemented if it is safe to do etc but imho they will push ahead no matter what now, the economy is on its arse and they need to get it moving again.

Defo: that’s what all this is about now hence Johnson telling people to get back to work even though scientific officer said working from home makes sense going forward.

Assuming that the crowd will be limited for the first few games. Can we only allow in fans who vocally, as opposed to visually (sit there like a lump of lard), support our team? It’s only fair.

If they won’t allow choirs to sing or wind bands to play for fear of transmission, the odds are that singing at football matches will be restricted once fans are allowed back in.

Wouldnt like to be the poor buggers who have to enforce that hahaha

Do we need auditions ?
