Fans back at the Etihad

Has anyone heard anything about renewals yet? Got refunded for games missed this year but not heard anything about auto renewal or anything?

Probably hear something in the next few weeks I’d imagine now the Gov have given the rough timeframe

As usual the government guidance is deliberately vague to put the blame elsewhere. I can't see how clubs can truly implement a socially distanced crowd effectively.

Yep agree. Then it be clubs putting it on the fans saying fine you can come but these are rules you have to abide to and if you get the virus well tough luck it was you who wanted to go to games.

Be interesting to see how they work this including what they charge to attend as it certainly won't be the full match day experience.
I'd imagine 12k fans tops
No away fans
No singing/shouting allowed
Different entry/exit points
Longer toilet queues as capacity controlled.

Not sure it's worth the £75 a game I pay to go back. I don't intend to anyway I'm happy to wait it out and see how things pan out but as others have said I'd like to think the club will basically allow fans to freeze their tickets for a season with no penalties or points loss and there seat available for the 21/22 season should they want it

Totally bonkers. I can’t wait to get back to my seat but this bumbling buffoon we have in charge is saying that we must prepare for the most dangerous part of the year, October and November, and yet says we can go back to football. Doesn’t inspire me with confidence.

Totally agree and you won’t see me anywhere near the ground until it’s absolutely safe even if that’s 12 months away

No history, and no fans.... just a few thousands glory hunters....and no football ground ( Maine Road) anymore....

Masks compulsory from the 22nd Lady on the Checkout told me in Asda today.

Failure to comply = £100,00 fine.

Shouldn't we have been wearing Masks weeks ago ?

I dont understand why it is suddenly a big deal now.
We should have been wearing masks from the very start.
The NHS needed them more and that’s why it wasn’t made compulsory until now.

I see myself as an extremely fit 40 year old, however, I won’t be going back, not until a viable vaccine has been introduced. It’s absolute madness, imo, that this is already being explored. There is a argument, which I lean towards, that we haven’t even seen the worse of this yet, with Oct/Nov really a key period... for me, and I think the more rational will agree, this shouldn’t be entertained for at least 12 months!
Doctors are worried that the 2nd wave hits in October/ November. The hospitals are busy with flu and the like at that Time of year.

They don’t even have a definite start date or know if or when fans will be allowed in so impossible to come up with season ticket renewal details

That’s what I was saying, pal...

It’s not that they are overburdened regarding flu, it’s the ability to decipher the symptoms as they are strongly aligned with Covid.... the logic, and if we are being honest, is that the first wave afforded us more clarity in how to react, when the second wave potentially hits and we’re following previous guidelines, the numbers having to self-isolate could be astronomical!
