Fans going to Wembley for the Community Shield

From the south coast, I'm driving. Me, the lad & the Mrs (their first Wembley game). Dead easy, 90 mins up the M3, park at Richmond, straight on the Tube & Robert's your father's brother. Damn sight easier/quicker than the 500 mile round trip I do for home games!

May go early though & make a day of it, haven't decided yet...Nipper says he wants to see the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum.
Quickest way from Richmond, take North London link overground to Willesdon Junction, then two stops to Wembley Central. Always stayed in Richmond for Challenge Cup Final back in the day.

Dinosaurs are at OT

Two tracks are closed from Euston to Hanslope Junction (north of Milton Keynes) from 20:00 Saturday to 12:00 Sunday each week. The lines being worked on (slow or fast) vary each week, so all trains are timetabled to travel over the slow lines to cover the worst case scenario.
Plus diversions via Northampton to Rugby and then via Birmingham.

Ok thanks. Makes sense I suppose.

I have noticed you often go past Villa’s ground ( Witton ) on a Sunday aswell, which I don’t think is the normal Monday- Saturday route. So presumably that adds a bit of time on aswell.
Up to 30 mins

Well we’re down at a mates house in Windsor on Saturday, so catching the train down Saturday morning and then will make my way from there on Sunday.
