Fans leaving early.

Don't think this has been discussed before, ever. Great new thread, just what the forum needs.

Can the guy who left the front row of 206 on 75 minutes please bring a note to the next home game.

No I am not thinking of entering you for the Guiness Book of Records!

I think i should perhaps sit there looking like a cardboard cutout of a real supporter, politely clapping like a hungry seal when a goal is scored. Then I will continue to munch on a Jamie fucking Oliver prawn sandwich whilst deciding to leave early to put some washing on, or maybe let the cat out with 10 minutes to go!

More games than ever are done and dusted by the time the added time board goes up so it's not surprising there's more than ever shooting off early, especially seeing how the traffic is at a standstill immediately after the match
Not condoning it but their are reasons

I had to leave at 70 mins for the palace game personal reasons to get back and lookafter the kids ! People have reasons for leaving whenever they like. id rather they came for 75mins than have that seat empty all game...

And there's me thinking they were after the free gift for the first 100 customers in the club shop

Seems to be a follow the leader mentality. I watch sometimes, a couple of people get up to leave, then all of a sudden ten are on their feet and following them out. Meanwhile, I'm on my feet too but only to move left and right so I can watch the football I paid for while people walk in front of me.

We've surpassed Arsenal in the last couple of years for early leavers.

But you can't lock the doors and keep people in. It's up to them. Just let it be and wait for the next great 94th minute goal that 15,000 of our fans only experience via a roar from City Square.

Thats a good way to put it. It's like a domino effect, and if some of the early leavers stopped doing so I reckon more people would follow their lead and stay til the end too. Don't care what reasons or excuses people may come up with, on a Saturday 3 o clock kickoff when we are 4 goals up there is no need for 5 thousands plus people to leave before the final whistle
