Fans leaving early.

regardless of what people think they pay there money and they can do what the fook they like cant see how some get so worked up about this over and over.

We are one of the worse for leaving early no point in pretending otherwise, i was watching Norwich v spuds today, and Norwich were 1-0 up with injury time to go and i saw hardly anyone leave , the Norwich fans were getting behind the team and the Norwich players were busting a gut to preserve there lead, fans getting behind the team DOES help the players in those last few mins, could be the difference between 3 points and 1 point, could be the difference between winning the league and not winning.

its up to the individual if they want to leave early no problem with that, but those who say it doesnt matter to the score or team are in denial it DOES matter, equally those who say we are not the worse we are unfortuately, Arsenal come a close second.

Come to think of it why dont they do away with the injury time board, and put up a board saying FIRE DRILL PLEASE FUCK OFF HOME NOW!!!!! cos no matter how much time they is left there is a stampede for the exits.

Someone posted many stay at the back and go when the final whistle goes , really not much room at the back for 30,000 people.

I think it just the way it is at the moment at the Etihad, i dont rememeber it being this bad at Maine Road, people why rush through life , take your time you will enjoy it more and City too , its is up to you i know but cant understand why thousands upon thousands get up and leave .

Reading through this.. Why does anyone care what it looks like on tv? Do people really care what like a Norwich fan thinks about city fans exiting strategy?

Was there for Norwich/ Man City last season (in with Norwich fans) when we won 4-3, there were hundreds if not small thousands leaving before the end, really could not understand that, we're down to 10 men & the poss' of witnessing a 4-4 vrs the then current champions would've stayed in my memory??

I suppose it will only get worse when we expand to 62k,

Disagree mate, i live 230 miles away, always stay to hear the final whistle. On the odd occasion I make my way to the exits around a minute before injury time is up but I don't 'leave'.

I think it's a shame that so many leave, it almost seems contagious, some people see others leave and are thinking they have to go too or get caught up in even more traffic, seriously, you have just spent 2 hours plus at a match, what difference does another 10-30 minutes make? I understand if you have prior engagements, or as in Oakie's case you struggle to get back to your transport, and it IS a case of each to their own but it baffles me.

What difference does 10-30 minutes make for someone making a five hour journey in the first place.

Those fans making that type of journey have written the whole day off, regardless.

For those who live within 10-20 miles of the Etihad, you begrudge being so close to home and being stuck for two fecking hours going nowhere fast, with the rest of your evening still relevant.

I'd argue even more so for a midweek, where work the next day becomes a factor for most.

"stuck for TWO fecking hours" - don't talk such utter, utter shite. If you park a twenty min walk from the ground, you're away in all directions 20-25mins later. Max.

The team must look up and genuinely wonder where the fuck everyone is. It's truly embarrassing the amount of people who leave early - if you can't be arsed sticking around to applaud the team, stay at home and watch the fucking telly. You won't have to budge and the traffic's bliss.

For what it's worth, I am in no way sticking up for anyone who leaves early. I stay until the final whistle every week, it's only the rare occasion that I have to go early.
I actually hate it when people leave early regardless of distance, I can sympathise with fans who do need to leave early for valid reasons though.

A non sequitur sans pareil. Must try harder. Much harder.
A little learning is a dangerous thing.

"little" and "learning" in one of your posts - how apt. As ever.
Thanks. I am blessed to be able to usually get to the heart of an issue with great brevity.
