Butt out!

This is getting interesting...

Just as an aside... the name of the pub, The Blue Anchor... is this a pisstake?

We used to joke about the name of a pub like this in the old days being run by rags!

;-))

As a group of London based Blues, we're discussing where we might like to meet socially to watch the matches together. I think it's in the interests of people to know that TB has special connections with the Landlord and Staff of that place.
You're making quite specific accusations not 'discussing' anything. You're embarrassing yourself.

Seems a lo tof discontent with our london Blue brothers seems strange a place that fu*king big you cant find a decent boozer or social club

It's trying to find somewhere central with easy access from all surrounding areas, that isn't a tourist trap. There aren't any social clubs in central London and many pubs are closed at weekends due to just being surrounded by offices which are closed at weekends.

You used to come to The City Pride when you were working in London. It's where you and I first met etc.

The problem is that Tony organises everything on his own and doesn't communicate enough with those willing to help him. I've got 10+ London Blues numbers on my phone and used to get everyone together - but constant complaints about poor service or a badly run Pub would be ignored.

For what it's worth, I am almost certain to go to The Blue Anchor tomorrow. I just want a good experience.

Jim, I put the info out, email, twitter, facebook, bluewatch, mcfcforum, mcfcfans, MCVITA, text, email, phone calls, Kevin Parker (SC General Secretary) As for help? Yes, you've "suggested" but what help have you done?
Complaints have been noted by me and passed on vigorously, even to the point I've phoned Spain and argued with Marco.
He's phoned me several times in past three days asking numbers but as only about 10 people say "I'll be there" then 200+ turn up (I do ask people to let me/Tina know), wtf can he/I do?

Marco has rewarded me with several times of a few free beers, admittedly, but part of that is because I/we (Laura) help out-be it managing of situation, glass collecting or even helping behind the bar.
Anchor is different as you can't get more than 2 people behind the bar without this being a hazard.
Marco has put in a TV outside (albeit on a table) and if we anticipate a really busy day he's going to arrange a "mini bar" outside (most likely ice filled tubs with bottles in).
Alternatively we do what we did last time, fuck off to Sainsburys, round the corner, by some beers/booze- save a fortune and still watch the game with fellow Blues !!!

Forgot Bluevibe and Blueheaven and King of the The Kippax.
