FAO Tueartsboots / London Blues in general

I've made it a Facebook Event and invited every London based Blue I've added. Even at the end of last season I was seeing Tweets from people asking whether everyone was still going to The City Pride for the Derby etc.

Hopefully a new permament base will be found and cherished.

I'm going so I've not been involved this time. I'd be up for somewhere mutual for Liverpool the following Sunday though.

The Blue Anchor appear to be shitting it because they've lost our custom. I've never known my little independent local Pub to run out of draught beers once - yet The City Pride and The Blue Anchor managed it continually.

Well the blue anchor i feel was only ever a stop gap. The city pride has just stopped. Guessing they had complaints. I was wondering how that new pub went otherwise I will just save my time and stay at home. Don't want to but looking that way

has anyone tried yate's in leicester square, covent garden? they used to have a massive screen showing sport events. also another boozer just around the corner,
forget the name (so many around) had several screens.

just a thought ....

A place the size of London and we're struggling to find an amicable Pub to look after us! Did you know The City Pride has now changed hands again? I'd welcome a move back there as it was home and we had some brilliant days and nights - but I'm unaware whether they've still got Sky etc.

If something can get sorted then I'll be 100% behind it. Unfortunately I'm not going to be present enough to arrange it myself.

Im not surprised the last owner sounded like he would get lost in his bedroom. Tony has disappeared off planet earth again but when he comes back hopefully he will help us out. Christ i work up the road I will go talk to the bloke but well im not the greatest speaker or seller in the world so it might not go well

He's been Tweeting his usual stuff again recently. If all it takes is to pop in to The City Pride to ask if they've got Sky Sports and other channels then that's perfect. There's nothing they can do to stop us turning up en masse aside from ensuring they've got the drinks and Staff to support our needs.

Tina from the London Branch has asked to be kept informed too. I think we've got a huge number of London Blues between us.

I will be working in London for six months from October.so would like join yous when I am not at the game.

Is this the same Tina that was running the branch in the 80's?

I travelled to many a game in 87/88 with the London lot. We used to take plenty away
