Is this the same Tina that was running the branch in the 80's?

I travelled to many a game in 87/88 with the London lot. We used to take plenty away

Still do mate - had 30 in Birmingham last week, closed at 50 for Sunday - I am for game on Sunday so this weekend doesn't involve me but would like to meet other blues when I am not for games

I don't think it's the same Tina. Her surname is Robertson but she's too young to have running the branch back then. And she'll love me for saying that.

Right... As OB and some of the other fine Gents on here want to do something for Liverpool next Sunday then let us pick a Pub and do it. Who is in? We needn't bother contacting anywhere if there's around a dozen of us. We'll just turn up.

Blueboy: Any joy at The City Pride yet? I might e-mail them at some point.

While i like the ease of getting to the blue anchor it doesn't feel right its too hot downstairs and the bar is 1" long upstairs. Shirley there must be a decent football pub in central London

I'm giving The Blue Anchor more time, there were teething problems but our group seems to grow and grow. I was told today there was nearly 400 blues for the QPR game, drinking copiously from 12pm onwards, no wonder they ran out of beer.

They're lying again. I had a good chat with someone there and they said around 150 with many not turning up until half an hour before kick off. There's not enough room in that Pub for 400.

Be honest with us, Tony. Do you still get free drinks?

It wasn't from anyone to do with the pub. I have had free drinks, normally up to 10, about 4 times in 3 years. Not that that is any of your bloody business.

Look, you don't like the place fine, sort yourself out then.

Never mind all that. Have you issued the MCFC London Blues statement on the RVP transfer yet?

If it's none of my business then why do you smugly boast that you drank for free whilst everyone else is forking out nearly £4 to whet their whistle? You can't go around telling people things and not expect them to use it against you.

OK, so it wasn't one of that repulsive family that told you the blatant lie about the amount of Customers and their collective thirst - but, regardless of the source, it's apparent that it simply wasn't correct and that their Pub can't handle simple things like beer supply and service. The City Pride was poorly run and so is The Blue Anchor.

You were inundated with complaints and admitted to me that you wanted to find somewhere else. Can you not understand where I'm coming from?

Could you not keep this discussion to PM?

As a group of London based Blues, we're discussing where we might like to meet socially to watch the matches together. I think it's in the interests of people to know that TB has special connections with the Landlord and Staff of that place.
