no self respecting band should make it

no self respecting music lover should like a band that makes it

all bands mentioned have "made it"

Kingmaker - Great Band early 90's

Wolverhampton's greatest unsigned band:

Started out around 1996 as Solo 70, later went through phases known as Universal, and then finally Polanski. Great tunes, just really simple pop songs, think The La's with midlands accents.

Disappeared from the midlands music scene early 2000s. Singer/guitarist Glenn Hanstock moved to Liverpool to try to crack it up there. Their lead guitarist was Jon Baker, who was part of the original Charlatans line up.

Shed 7, don't think they ever got a number 1? Disco down highest I think 9 in the charts?

Seen them twice both times in Manchester, and I still have their CDS! "Going For Gold" is wicked good!

Depends what you class as 'making it' doesn't it. For example I'd class most of those bands Bob listed as pretty successful.

The Kustom Built would be my offering and also Terris who promised so much live but delivered an average album.
