Some of you have strange definitions of making it but this takes the piss. How can you say The Smiths, hailed as one of the most influential bands of the era didn't make it? There is more to making it than getting on Top of the Pops.
In fact, most of the bands mentioned I have heard of. Which suggests they made it to some degree. I assumed there would be a list of bands I have never heard of because they didn't make it!
