FC United’s problems aren’t helped by the fact that self styled hooligan and Red Army General Tony O’Neill has been known to show up at a number of grounds during their matches, although his Police minders usually bar his way from entering. While incidents of hooliganism remain at a very low level for FCUM, associations with firms such as the Red Army is bad for their fledgling reputation, even if the firms all originate from Manchester United.

Not this one.

I have a sneaky feeling that TO may not just be going for the entertainment on offer... or so I've been told!

What have I got to do with this comment?
Haven't been on your forum for a while, was banned for daring to post non offensive comments about the stadium and (as you know) you have to be registered to read the forums - unlike on here where you are both permitted to read and post non offensive comments that the majority of members on here may disagree with. I know on this thread I have said I read your forums, that was just a wind up ;)
I don't need to rejoin with a new name as there are a few spies on there that do check from time to time and do inform fellow campaigners when things are posted of interest (like your mate from New Moston and his M40 addresses scam ;)

I have been informed that a couple of threads that have involved topics discussed in this thread have halted suddenly and then continued in a ''secret members forum'' - and guess what? Yes, we have a spy in that secret forum too ha ha ha

PS Maybe you could ask your forum boss why non members can't see the forums and why members with a non abusive but different view point get banned? Is it a discussion forum or politburo style run form of communication?

Re: FC United fan's request for fraudulent letters (p14)

Letter in the MEN Postbag 2nd February.

Your correspondent Kath Harvey's letter (Postbag 31st Jan) poses more questions than supplies answers. Supporting FC United's plans for a new stadium, she talks of economic benefits for Moston as a whole but fails to tell us what they are.
She also refers to an impressive list of commitments to the community made by FC United and, guess what, fails to give any examples.
Let's get one or two things straight. There are currently three pitches on the site proposed for the new stadium all of them used by Moston Juniors. There will also be three new pitches after the development. Andy Walsh, FC United's general manager, in an interview on FC United's own radio station, indicated that one pitch would be for Moston Juniors FC's exclusive use. Another would be available for public use but only when not being used by Moston Juniors or FC United. But Moston Juniors alone comprises some ten teams at different age levels. Am I right in suspecting that there's not going to be a lot of time left for public use?
Then there's the stadium itself. It seems no one - other than the odd schools cup final - gets to use the Moston Community Stadium. Some community benefit!
Kath Harvey's not alone however. Coun Mike Amesbury wrote in Postbag last week of ''significant social and economic benefits''. He too failed to give a single example. There's more to sport than football. And there's more to Moston than FC United and Moston Juniors.

Bob Hill, Moston
