MEN have finally run this story.

Andy Walsh and his bunch of half witted 1970's hooligan throwbacks are looking even more stupid than ever this morning.

Already despised by genuine rags for showing all the loyalty of rats on a sinking ship, these tools are lunging from one comedy disaster to another.

First they set up FC United of Manchester in....Bury and then standing firm to their principles and beliefs by walking away from debt riddled ManU they promptly set about saddling their breakaway club with debt. What will they do next walk away from FC United to set up a breakaway club from the breakaway club.

Someone should make a film about these clowns, it would be a laugh a minute. Lee Evans would be perfect to play the bellend that goes by the name of Andy Walsh.

I think that Angelos weirdo with the carrier bag and the NHS bins on Shooting Stars would be better playing Andy 'I wear designer specs so you must take me seriously' Walsh, though.

From Today's North East Manchester Advertiser.......

FC United planned to have generated £1.6m through a community share scheme towards the cost. But so far only £1.4m has been pledged by fans.

Now the council has stepped in with a promise to bridge the funding gap if the extra money is not raised.

The town hall will also cover any overspend, up to a limit of £500,000 – provided the club comes up with a ‘robust’ plan to pay the money back, with interest.

The promise comes on top of a £750,000 grant the council is already making towards the stadium. Council bosses stressed the money would be a loan, to be repaid in full, that would guarantee an ‘important’ development could go ahead.

Pledged?? I wonder how much money will actually be collected.

Am I correct in saying the council have promised to bridge the gap up to £500,000 max plus £750,000 towards the stadium?

Thanks M.E.S - I'll always do what I can to help a fellow blue and if I can wind up a few filthy rags along the way all the better. We really need to get my all time hero and world class WUM Ono on the case. Compared to him i'm strictly small time. Either that or maybe I should bring back Mr Woo.

There must be different mods on the news pages to the sports pages over at the MEN. Nearly all my posts have got through today whereas on the sports pages i'm lucky if I get 1 in 10 through these days. Wankers.

Anyway good luck in your quest to drive these filthy 'economy class' rags out of Moston.

Pathetically funny.

Unsurprisingly, the woman isn't able to ask ''what happens if FCUM cannot repay the loan? Who picks up the tab if they default? Who is the guarantor?''

Thanks. I now live overseas, so not involved in the campaign anymore, but keep in touch with those local residents (my former neighbours / friends) who are campaigning against the planned development right on their doorstep.
I'm just (via their info) trying to raise awareness to people in Manchester as to what the council are up to in trying to force this development through against their wishes.
It ain't over yet!

If any local residents have any genuine questions to raise on here with the FC United fans then let me have them and I will put them up in this thread to see if we get any clear answers.
I am not for any inflamatory stuff and negative stuff because we support City but rather genuine concerns.
