Wishful thinking on your behalf. They have survived 10 years without their own ground and are going to be in a much better financial position now they have their own ground.
They wont merge because FCUM fans own the club so wont be taken over by the Class of 92 and the Class of 92 and their billionaire backer wont merge and relinquish control.
FCUM wont leave Moston and Salford fans wont go to Moston (and rightly so on both accounts)

your missing the point they are glory hunters (FCUM) fans and still follow united and now Salford city are going to be pushed by the media and with the boys of 92 and the BBC they will just go to Salford and not moston I was talking to a utd fan who goes to FCUM aswell being a season ticket holder at utd and he said he's not been to FCUM this season but been to Salford city 7 times so they are turn coats and if 1 of them does that then it will be more and more

the thing is they are both still man united fan base clubs forget this bollocks about hate glazers and never go back to old trafford they still go to united games still have season ticket holders and will back all 3 clubs if they are doing well. FCUM have stood still for a couple of seasons and with the gamble move to moston they did not bank on another united fan/players football club built with more money and media backing so its only going to go 1 way for FCUM but if they are bright then a merger with Salford is not a bad idea
they could still be the link to utd and rival the glazers and with the jump straight to none league football for Salford city the boy of 92 would only be 7 years away from the premier league
