FC United Thread

Lest we forget......
Loads of Leeds fans on the train (they were at Bolton) and not one word said.....
Outside the pub in Chorley and 25 of them v 3 Leeds fans they feel a lot more confident at taking them on.

“ We’re the famous man united and we’re going to Wemberlee”…
Confused are they?

Here is the yearly total that "the peoples club" have taken from "the people" via Manchester City Council since 2011.

2011 - £201,000
2012 - £123,000
2013 - £60,000
2014 - £1,082,000
2015 - £12,000
2016 - £4,000
2017- £6,600
2018 - £1,403
2019 - £81,000
2020 - £181,000
2021 - £18,000
2023 - £150,000

Total - £1,920,003

I don't know why 2022 is missing and of course the club was founded in 2006 so the total doesn't include any funding they received during that period.

The majority of individual payments given were "Grants and subscriptions awarded", via adult social care, Manchester Leisure or children's services or 3rd party payments to the Health Authority. Some funding was also given for the hire of premises.

However in 2014 two separate payments were given to "work and associated costs for land and buildings". One was for £547,000 and the other for £500,000 in the year the stadium was opened.
it's galling to see the club owing Manchester City Council so much, yet receiving funding from MCC on such a regular basis.
If the council are hiring Pallet Park for whatever purpose then the fee should be coming off the amount the Rag Socks owe the council, rather than the council paying the Rag Socks whilst acknowledging that the club is a "long term debtor"

It's fucking disgraceful, someone must have some good piccies that aren't for us to see to extort monies and originally rip the land from Moston like that.

I'm really surprised that there's not one councillor to my knowledge kicking off constantly about the misuse of local funds etc.
