FC United Thread

FC un*ted of London had a ring to it ..... anyhow, given their origins, they should have been called FC un*ted of Bury anyhow ...

Didn't they form the club as part of the 'Green & Gold' protests – that being the case, why don't they wear the fucking green & gold then, instead of copying the club they are supposedly rebelling against!?!

They want to be United fans (i.e. a bunch of arrogant cunts who think they can do what they want) without actually supporting the Glazers and all their commercialisation of the game, together with all the 'sit down and shut up' crap that we get in the PL these days. FCUM allows them to do that.

Dont get me wrong,I hope they go into oblivion but think its wishful thinking. They are unfortunately followed by a number of middle aged ex hooligans from united.Since being a kid I have followed Darlington FC (as well as being a City season ticket holder for 36 years) who may be in their league next season,I can imagine it will be lively in Darlington that day.
Got a mate whos a Darlo fan, used to go and see quite a few games in the 80s, when they didn,t clash with City..ie Stockport on a fri night...that was back in the days of "Jimmy ,Jimmy Willis" Gary Worthington nephew of Frank?) bloody good player was Gary...can remember vintage violence before a pre season friendly v hartlepool, monkey hangers.....used to hear a lot said about David Currie when he was there, but i never caught him in a darlo shirt....saw him playing for Barnsley at Oakwell tho v City ,all left foot, but he took us apart..happy days!

Followed them since I was a kid but do more games nowadays as they are closer to Manchester working their way back up the league.I wrote to football clubs for autographs when I was a kid to improve my writing(my Mums idea, she knew I loved football so got me to do it) and Darlo sent a set of programmes as well,no charge.Went to my first match at SWFC in 1975! I reckon ive paid a few times over for those programmes with all the fundraising Darlo have had to do! If they do go up this year they will be in with bigger clubs like County and FCUM so it will seem as if they are getting back a bit.

Showing my age here but David Currie broke my nose and I lost 3 teeth as a result of an elbow. Was playing in goal in a pre season friendly for West Auckland against Barnsley.

Haha, fucking love it.

Yet in February the board voted, 7-4, to hire Dave Boyle, formerly the chief executive at Supporters’ Direct, at a cost of £900 to look through the fans’ internet forums and report back on posts that could be described as harassment, unjustifiably abusive or potentially libellous from the previous nine months.
The irony is that Boyle has form himself for offensive use of social media, relinquishing his position at Supporters’ Direct in 2011 because of a series of abusive messages on Twitter that prompted the Premier League to withdraw its annual £1.2m funding. As if that were not awkward enough, he has also allegedly posted highly offensive comments on the When Saturday Comes message board about supporters on about supporters from one FC forum.

The club was built on lies, deceit and treachery. So it's no surprise that things are starting to come out in the wash. The silence from David Conn is deafening.

On there Twitter fead it says made headline of the local paper ,no mention of the guardian so I posted them a link
