FCUnited - This City is still ours

Having read through a lot of info this is how it works and all fans should be aware.

The owners of City know that under UEFA RULES in a couple of years they will not be able to spend more than they can earn.

So in order to maximise revenue they are buying cheap land with a Metro going through it (paid for by all of us) to build Sports, leisure and retail on a huge scale. As they will be a major part of the consortium they will eventually reap the dividend from all this. Naming rights etc etc

This will mean they are able to keep on spending big lumps as they will be earning big lumps from new east Manchester

It states in the MEN article that City have the Say on development in the area-and a map on here shows the TAL site within it, so it must come as no surprise that they don't want a fly in the ointment that is FC United. Besides the demographics will change and they don't want a fan owned club that is red on the doorstep.

locals in Newton Heath have invested in the FC COMMUNITY SHARES and will be surprised this morning that they have become part of Blue Masterplan.

The money being invested is in the hands of a rich elite who have no democratic legitimacy, and if what is happening throughout the Middle East were replicated in Abu Dhabi then this project could come to a grinding halt and leave MCC with an Ostrich size piece of egg on their face.

Interesting times as ever-but this affects both MCFC,FCUM directly and MUFC indirectly ****

See what the locals think when they are queueing up to take advantage of employment opportunities which will come to a much needed part of the city
"It´s the economy stupid" is the bottom line in all this

The implication in your post is that City are taking advantage of the Metro rather than actually driving the regeneration and your username suggests an awareness of politics. Nether could be further from the truth.
In case you hadn't noticed Manchester is facing severe cuts in public services which will adversely affect the area in such a manner that the creation of a clubhouse drinking den for your buddies and a few pitches for occasional use by the locals will hardly appease. There is no way on earth that the 'fly in the ointment' could possibly affect a billion pound investment that will bring real jobs and some much needed economic activity to an area that desperately needs it.
I tempted to shout at you, but just listen carefully, your pathetic tinpot club is, like the behemoth that spawned it, built on a mythology of lies. Just how many Newton Heath residents have actually 'invested' in these 'Community' shares and what return on their investment do these pin-striped entrepreneurial denizens of the stockbroker belt that is Newton Heath, hope to see?
There is and only ever has been one party in this that has an opportunistic and PURELY self serving interest in this debate and that is the party whose line you swallow hook, line and sinker. Perhaps being brought up in a culture of lies has ingrained a pathological need for delusion in you, or perhaps it's congenital, I'm not sure.

Ha! More consolation tales for traitors and rags.
First it was 'dem dirty Arabs is gonna get bored and pull all their dirty money out of city and buy a Formula 1 team (they already own a chunk of Ferrari, but hey ho).
Now that even the thickest rag or FC Hypocrite supporter can see that is patently not going to happen, and with community sports provision on the old Clayton Aniline site and elsewhere around Eastlands likely to dwarf anything the Traitors were likely to come up with, thus benefiting far more Mancunians, its 'they're only doing it to make money, unlike us pious, self-righteous, holier than thou saviours of football. And anyway, there's gonna be a revolution in Abu Dabhi, and they'll have no money left. And if there isn't, then the oil will soon run out. And, and, and....'

to be honest I think the Council have looked at FC's falling gates, they started with 3,500 but now some games are around 1,500............

they couldn't justify that spend for such a small group of fans...........

we are in tough economic times.........

Manchester City. Swatting flies since 2008....

You have to say the Sheikh, Kaldoun and Cook have played an absolute blinder here.
To paraphrase a certain song formerly popular with cretins, many of whom will only now be taking their heads out of the sand and realising the sheer scale of what is coming,....
"HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS, HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS,
SHEIKH MANSOUR, HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS"

Just received a text from my fc supporting mate, who I was chatting with lastnight about this, and he seems to think that the reason fc have been turned down is because we want the site? Is this true? I haven't read anything that says it is?
