Ferdinand stamp on Torres?

If A City player did the exact same thing, would you think he deserved a ban?
Forget the agenda stuff for a mo, (I actually think Ferdinand should have been handed a retrospective ban), just look at it what it is, replace Ferdinant with Kompany and the same thing happens. Would you think a ban is deserved or would it be harsh?

Agree with you Pidge...I mentioned it way earlier in the thread that the Gerrard Elbow to the back of Bales head was IMO a much worse challenge.

But you keep telling us there's no agenda?

Pidge what we think is irrelevant, nobody thought that kompany should have got a ban, nobody thought that balotelli or adebayor should have got a ban but they still got them, now at the behest of the FA and Howard Webb ferdinand has escaped a ban and why should he when other players who do v little worse will still get a ban?

There is no agenda. Webb is wrong on this one, that's about it.

-- Wed Mar 13, 2013 6:31 pm --

If you're talking about the stamp on Parker re Balotelli, well a ban was definitely needed, and I know from this forum alone i'm not the only one who thinks that.
Webb has fucked up here, there's no two ways about it but my question still stands. Was it that bad that if it was a Blue, you'd thin a ban was right?

I wouldn't argue if one of ours was banned for it.
But ultimately none of this matters as the rags have gotten away with it again!

Fuck it pidge... Stop being rational and join the agenda'ists!!!

Deserve isn't the issue. City player would have got a ban, Ferdinand didn't. Nasri got a red for a wave of the head. It's violent conduct, full stop. Webb's let football down.

I don't think Kompany would do such a thing. However, replace Ferdinand with Yaya, who is not averse to slapping Arses off the ball, and yes, a ban would be deserved. However, a Young or a grab Percy may just need to feel the breeze to fall over.

I think what camel-gob did to Torres deserved a ban.

And I would still think that, whether the player involved played for City, rags, Exeter or York. Or any other team.

That's really quite amazing. Of all the retrospective desicions seen every week I would have thought that one of the more clear cut, read, absolutely obvious ones.
