Just as a round up of sourced stories to save you reading an entire thread:

  • United have said that Ferguson's successor will be appointed within 48 hours
  • New manager is currently employed at another club
  • Bookies and media favourite is Moyes
  • Sporting Intelligence report that new manager will have a focus on youth development and continue in the same vein as Ferguson

wow...out of the blue...

Hope it reduces their influence on other teams/referees and they start to struggle a la Liverpool as their squad isn't that good.

Need Gill to be got rid of now somehow as he's the main problem now.

No matter all his antics, bullying, abuse of officials and blatant disregard for what the rules are, the dirty tactics by his team, the fact he bought most of his trophies, failed in Europe far too often as well as in the cup competitions, you can't deny he's done a stunning job as a Premier League manager.

Let's hope as a club we benefit hugely just in getting more equal treatment.

I bet he will make a heroic comeback ala Scholes when the next manager inevitably falls short though.

Out of all the managers I've heard linked, I hope it is klopp. Not tested in England and hasnt got the same quality flair players unlike at Dortmund. My only worry is if they have lots of money to spend, which fergie has said they have got a bit for the summer, he will take half of Dortmund with him.

The biggest compliment you can pay the pisscan is that every one of us is happy he's gone. Back handed compliment, but a compliment all the same!
