Ferguson retires - Moyes new manager

This is dreamland as far as I'm concerned.

Ferguson out, Moyes in. Realistically couldn't have gone any better for us - Moyes is about as poor a choice as we could ever have hoped for them to make.

Pep. Jose. Klopp. All would have made me nervous.

Moyes? Seriously?

WTF are they playing at?

Moyes and United are perfectly matched. This is a union forged in the fires of Mordor.

1. He already hates City
2. His teams are rife with thugs
3. He uses underhand tactics to win
4. He's arse-licked Ferguson for years
5. He will be at Fergie's beck and call unlike Jose
6. He's a ****

it will be hilarious if he proves everybody wrong

personally i think mourinho was the better choice but maybe he is set for chelsea

fair play to man united though, they are willing to give him time hence the 6 year deal.

-- Thu May 09, 2013 7:25 pm --

How do you know? He may be a much better manager with much better players. He is untested, but could be a surprise like guardiola was for us. Most Barca fans didn't want him after rijkaard went, and look how that went...

Pep and Klopp still would have been risks because neither have worked in England before.

Same. This is the best case scenario. Even Laudrup won a trophy at a much smaller, poorer club than Everton in his first season. Laudrup would have made me nervous. Pellegrini was one of the rag fan favourites, and he's leaving for sure. Simeone from Madrid or even Montella from Fiorentina would even have made me a bit nervous.

They had a ridiculous number of quality options and chose Moyes. Slurgie protected them from their own incompetence for too long, they've never had to actually manage a football club until now.

This is like us hiring Redknapp.
