Fergusons Book (Merged)

Re: Fergusons Book Out Tuesday. The S*** Will Hit The Fan

Ferguson found his teams dull and unimaginative and he could not understand why Benitez played Steven Gerrard in wide positions. Ferguson later says 'I am one of the few who thought Gerrard was not a top, top, player. When Scholes and Keane were in our team Gerrard seldom had a kick against us.'
Does me mention anything about trying tap Gerrard up in 2005?

What he's been saying about Roy Psycho-Twat- Keane sounds right to me.

-- Tue Oct 22, 2013 10:05 pm --

I can not stress this enough:

Not sure that message is really required on a City forum ?!

Undoubtedly this book's release was timed as a distraction strategy in the event of a Moyes disaster. Cue disaster. Cue release. You have to hand it to the rag propaganda machine, they have always been adept at such things. Very very clever stuff. But they still have Moyes, and not many more autobiographies to release.

Nah, the book is timed for the Christmas market and that's all. The release date, in all probability, was set 12 months ago.
To be honest, I think that this public laundry-wash is perfectly timed to bring more pressure on Wee Davey. Already, Keane has bitten back and hopefully a few more will too. It all adds to the feeling of impending doom for the f**kers.
Add to that, the bonus that he's also weakened his credibility, substantially, with his laughable claim about dominating the 1 - 6 derby and complete avoidance of the Coolmore stand off and it's all good.
Typical bully-boy tactic to avoid picking on the bigger boys, like Magnier and JP, whilst savaging the smaller fry, of course. That won't go uunnoticed and there'll be plenty in the long grass, waiting to knock the GPC off his bloody perch.
This book will be regarded a a significant milestone in the fall of that empire. I'm sure of it.

Ferguson thought Gerrard was poor . To me Gerrard is 1 of the best midfield players I have seen . Lets face it Gerrard as been a stellar player for club and country .

It brings absolutely no pressure to bear on Moyes, none whatsoever, in fact it does the exact opposite, its deflective. The media is distracted into beckham/rooney/keane stories and the pantomime of their responses - and the disastrous start to the season is wiped clean from the front pages.

If City had capitulated to WBA and Saints, and were lying in eighth place, the media would be in full swing, but not here.

The timing is manipulated, Christmas or not. its naive to think otherwise imo.

Agreed
Looks as if this little epis(s)tle ' will continue the dismantling of the Rags' empire and it's clear already that since Gollum took over , that they have lost most of their air of invincibility...
Tha fact that the GPC slags off some of the club's' icons (viz ' the cockerney glory hunter / poseur tw@t Becks' and the idiot boy Shrek) further undermines this debt-ridden shambles, from the inside.....

I've heard it from a lot of Rags I know recently, but it was interesting to hear Warnock come out with it in public: that they haven't got a pot to piss in and that once his little mate Gill left, the GPC knew that his successor, Callan (Edward Woodward:... do keep up !), would keep tight purse strings.. and therefore fooked off in to pre-empt futher humiliations ....

I think that we are seeing the start of decline of empire (especially as I'm old enough to be struck by the parallels with the post Busby years) ... but watch out for that tw@t Gill in his UEFA role.. he may well use all his power to further shift goalposts to try and slow us down.....
But slowing us down is his his best hope: he knows that the writing is on the wall..

Bye, bye Bacon.. you were a great tactician but a vain , arrogant pathetic schoolyard bully and serial fantasist ( the revisionist account of the 1-6 makes him look even more feeble... )

The rags have lost their mojo.. and no amount of whinging or goalpost-shifting will get it back...

The best thing is that I'm hearing it from them, too..
