Fernandinho - 2019/20 Performances

Fernandinho has started 13 of the last 15 matches played starting from Shakhtar away, playing 90 minutes in all of them.

I understand he’s learning the CB position but he’s 34 ffs, needs a rest, otherwise the inevitable injury is coming.

Pep will do what he did last season and just play him until he breaks down in March/April. Laporte will be back by then.

The reason why Ferna plays CB and not Rodri is that Pep wants Rodri to learn how to play as a DM in his system since he's a long term replacement for Ferna. He was brought here to play as a DM and Ferna will stay for maximum one more season so it's kind of pointless to play Ferna DM and Rodri CB.
