The Times says £25million and is usually the most reliable UK rag.

They also say Pellegrini may not be announced until early next week... why?

Maybe the timescales of the rest of his team he`s bringing with him, contracts, etc are taking longer than anticipated.

FFS, so many are following Sly's lead that this transfer fee will soon become an internet urban myth... <a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/10102201/Manchester-City-break-50m-mark-with-Fernandinho-and-Jesus-Navas-signings.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... nings.html</a>

What matters is that Man City know that it is not this much and they know what will actually be paid... what also matters are the accounts and they will have the true figures... As we get big star players coming, expect more shite media against us... sometimes is comes with the territory of being at the top...

You can't please everyone!

If the same principle was applied to the van Persie signing, it would've been reported as a £62m deal. Yet not one media outlet announced it as such, as far as I'm aware. Why is that?

I would say there is an agenda but I might get a telling off ;)

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Sorry if asked and answered already, but do we think Navas had his medical already (in Spain?) Or not until after the Confed Cup in Manchester? Just odd this signing was 'revealed' before Dinho but no word of medical

Khaldoon said on Friday (five days ago) that an appointment would happen within two weeks.
Seems to fall within that timescale to me.

That interview was in New York, way before Friday

The interview was before Friday but Khaldoon knew when it was to be broadcast and may have used his timing with respect to the broadcast date rather than the recording date.

It's like the Tevez deal gets reported as £48 million. We bought him for £25. Fucking hate it when the rag lying scum press report things this way.
Bloody hell, Tevez for £25? No wonder they were telling Fergie to sign him up!

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Rag supporting paper The Guardian also inflating the fee

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jun/05/manchester-city-fernandinho-signing-medical" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013 ... ng-medical</a>

Cavani also mentioned briefly.

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Also find it difficult to grasp he cost us the reported £34mill, especially with him being 28 years old and not having any resale value. Glad City have finally wrapped this deal up from what I've heard he's some player and has a great work ethic. Hopefully he'll work his arse off next season and aim to get in that Brazil squad. Be interesting to see what we reveal his actual transfer cost is.

Because van Persie came through their youth set up.

Christ Ric, keep up will you mate.
