I'd be amazed if he was 'only' on £2.4 mill a year.

Havn`t we got a change on our wage structure nowadays ? I understood from some time ago, that any new players coming in,would not earn the same as the top earners, but massive bonuses would be paid, based on trophies/success ??

That's a good point Oakie, and if the potential bonuses aren't included in the numbers I stand corrected..

I'm sure Karl Doon mentioned this in his interview.

And he might.

Some people aren't happy either way. Last summer we left it too late and had to buy cheap so everyone moaned, claiming some players are worth breaking the bank for if they win us the title.

So we break the bank in order to get business done early and everyone goes into hysterics again.

Not one decision that has been made by this club has done us any huge harm. Aguero cost us £35m and he delivered the greatest moment of our lives, so who's to say Fernandinho won't do the same? Give it time, then complain if things are going wrong.

I totally disagree with all this moaning and bitching. Complain about what?? Its not your money, nor mine. If they chose to pay £200-trillion, who cares?? Its not your money!! Whats the f**king problem with you lot today!!?? None of us has the remotest idea what was or was not paid, and we never will. You all whing and whine like your mothers and children had been sold into slavery to pay for these transfers!

If we miss out on a top player at the end of this window because we've way overpaid on other targets then you might have wish we'd spent our money a little more shrewdly. People were saying 'it's not your money, who cares?' a couple of years back and last summer we found we were fucked because FFP meant that we couldn't blow any amount of money on any player and we still can't

Spent who's money? Also, a 'couple of years back' (I presume you refer to the 2009-10 transfer windows, RSC, Bridge et al) we had the relative football amateurs of Cook and Marwood being held over barrels by players, clubs and agents and a situation where there was a real urgency to 'create' a team that could start to compete, which it did. We are now in a completely different place to where we were then. Firstly we have complete pro's in charge of business for one. Secondly, we're now in a process, having thankfully removed some of the deadwood I suspect you refer to, of augmenting the squad with some variety and depth of quality. Thirdly, I sense there is a very clearly laid out plan of action being followed through here, the outcome of which will I suspect take our breath away. But I say again, whatever is being paid out, its not costing 'us' a penny in the overall scheme of things and we have absolutely nothing to moan about.

The fee was 22 million, 34million that dick heads are reporting includes his wages over the full 5 years

So 12m (the difference) is his wage for 5 years?

2.4m/year?

46.000 pounds/week?

Less than Sinclair's probably?

Surely...

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Is he signing a 4 or 5 year contract given his age (28)?

Re: Fernandinho has medical

Brennan now tweeting the fee is £34m.

Who cares ? Not me !

Look on the bright side it winds up the rags and the dippers !

5 years probably. If City have enough faith in him to pay 34m, they surely have faith that he will be of good service for at least 5+ years.
