I thought last season we hired a new bunch who were to look after Eastern Europe, well Ukraine only one stop beyond. Forget who they were sure some father and son team. Supposedly they unearthed Nasty.

You might be right mate but I thought the Fiorentina manager Montella was a good friend of Mancinis from Sampdoria recommended Nasty to us when we came calling?

It was Mihajlovic that recommended Nasty to Mancini

Wasn't it Krkic

Sounds right.

There were one or two reports knocking about shortly after we appointed Txiki that we'd approached Bojan Krkic to be a scout. He was a scout for Txiki at Barcelona for years so it would make sense. Incidentally his lad is the Barcelona forward by the same name who's just finished a loan at Milan.

Anyway, this Fernandinho, good player.

I wonder how intensely we scouted Jo (the last Brazilian to come here from there)
Jo came from CSKA - in Russia. (Sorry to be picky)

You're right of course...I still wonder though. Plus who thought Garcia was an upgrade while I'm at it. Suppose nobody can get them all right.

I do wish some people on BM would get off Garcia's back. He arrived at the very end of the transfer window to a side which was already failing to live up to-the-bill, and was an intermittent starter at best who was then injured and in-and-out of the team. Lets see if he does better with a full pre-season with his team-mates and under new management. If he's still pants this season then fair do's, he can leave, but judging him after just a initial 'bit-part' season is ill-judged in my humble opinion.

Maybe he needs to change his name to Fred Garciadino...?

Anyone actually know the price of this deal?

SB from the MCEN claiming that the cost is initially £22M,but there are still details to be thrashed out.
Also another City interest Argentinian player,Diego Novaretti has told his Mexican club,he will not sign a new contract, although if we do follow up,then prepare for competition from Monaco.

they've already signed a replacement for him.

Wriggle a little faster and you may just fully get out of the hole you dug in the first place.
I read what you said and disagreed with it, as did 3 other posters immediately after.
Only because he wasn't clear and stated "Mancini fans", if he would have said "fans that support the now deposed manager as opposed to the club" I would doubt anyone would have had a problem with it.

I knew exactly what he meant when he said "Mancini fans" and he is spot on.

The post by gomancini or whatever his name is was the biggest pile of shit and deserved to be ripped apart.

Bitter didn't even come close to summing up his thoughts.
Did you guys ever figure out that you were likely wound up quite expertly?

He was about as clear as mud then in his initial post, because it read like 'fans of Mancini are worse than United fans on here', which is obviously a load of shit.

If he's saying that people supporting City because of a certain player/manager then fair enough, though I would still wonder how that is worse than a United fan.

He's right on Mancio. I found him to be an almighty pain in the arse.

Apologies for any misunderstanding FM.
I apologies aswell and lets just move on and talk fernandinho!

Fuck dat...lets talk about Mancini..

He comes from Italy....

He managed Man City..

But now weve got Mauel...

Sacre Bleu et fockin ell..

Wind up or not it is a lot for a 28 y/o. Personally I'm not bothered (hey its not my money) but we do seem to have changed tack this season with our buying policy in terms of the age of the players targeted. Under Mancini we seem to focus on players under 25 when it came to shelling out big money with the exception of Yaya.

I don't have a problem with Ferran and Txiki changing strategy and I think it just highlights the lack of quality executive leadership last summer. Mancini would certainly have welcomed RvP and De Rossi no matter the cost despite their age but unlike Ferran it wasn't ultimately his decision to make.

In retrospect it seems last season saw City in a sort of holding pattern until the executive team arrived and we are now just starting to fill the holes in the squad that have been apparent for a while.

In any event if Ferran & Txiki do land their targets this summer I can't help but feel very optimistic about our title chances next season.
