depending on which media outlet you believe the transfer could have been anything from £20 million to 40 million euros

hence his question

So if it is 40 million?
tbh
i don't know what to believe
i have a (un)healthy sceptism regarding most of the media circus surrounding football clubs, particularly throughout the transfer window

You have not answered my question (tut tut) I will retort. So what if it is 40 mill euro signing on fee?(up front)

Just watched the video on the OS ... have one query: is sharon still club photographer? no sign of her here, some other lass on snapping duty.

I too think if the reported 34m is correct then it's far too much money we've paid. I'd like to know what Shakhtar paid for him? That's my opinion and it doesn't matter that it's not my money. Also because I and other people have the opinion we have paid too it much does not also mean we are being negative, pessimistic or whatever. We'll all still be supporting the club just as much as ever before and it's just an opinion on a message board.

You don't actually know what the fee is do you?

Look Ducado you are a mod on here and I respect all the blues on here who are proper. If this is true at 34 mill then so be it (and I have renewed). Please look at my past posts and they are always positive in the main. I just feel that this is too much and for people just to dismiss it as "we are rich" is starting to play on my mind.

Even though we are rich does not mean you over inflate prices. It has far reaching effects that fans do not realise long term and for the perception of our club.

I suppose in a way city fans don't care about money, I still do. Swales out

Good post. If £34m is correct we have been seriously done over. However, if he does a job for us then it's money well spent. As with all transfers time will be ultimate judge.

When they quote prices in the paper it tends to be the maximum figure that will be paid. One way of getting around the FFP regulations is to have a lower initial fee them just pay clubs more in bonuses i.e. after 10 goals or after he's played 20 games etc...the initial figure will probably be about £15m and if he scores 100 goals and plays 100 games it could rise to £34m!

being trained in the sciences i've always had difficulty answering a hypothetical question asked as a stated fact
i thought my post may have hinted that i have no idea how much he cost and so it would be ridiculous of me to have a firm position based on no evidence

Thanks that's why it has gone up 7% for the last 4 years. Clown. Get the meaning of my argument before posting. Clown
Our ticket prices are similar to fucking Norwich what more do you want?

So you are justifying paying £34 million by saying that Norwich season ticket prices are the same. Fucking great. Have you ever heard of Average income by geographical area. Even if you haven't I say it again £34 million
I have looked at this post. Tried to see the point and failed.

Essentially our tickets are average compared to all Prem teams. Teams such has Newcastle, Everton & Liverpool are located in very similar areas to Manchester which equate to a similar average income by geographical area so therefore pay the same as us. In fact Liverpool pay more yet we are challenging for the title.

If anything our ticket prices are very good value and considering we are spending £34 Million I will say that again £34 Million I would say we are lucky.

The execs will know the level of spending and will have budgeted for it.

So in summary I fail to see your point.

what about javi garcia?

is he still gonna be a key member?

If Pelle didn't want him at Barca, I can't see him wanting him here.
Pellegrini didn't sell anyone at Barca.

Pellegrini didn't make decisions about buying and selling at Madrid. He won't here most likely either.
