Huge wages, foreign spot and potentially going out an all time high. It makes a lot more sense for Fernandinho to go out at the end of the year.

I understand where you’re coming from but he gets paid huge wages here, apparently his family are very happy and settled in the Manchester are and let’s be honest, it can’t get much higher for a footballer than to be playing in this City team.

I would love to see him get a contract extension for another year, then, if he wants to keep playing, a move to New York and maybe, beyond that, a coaching or executive position in the CFG.

I am sure Fernandinho would want to stick around but he is on huge wages and that is an immediate place we can save them. I don't think he is going to stick around on 10k a week because he likes Manchester. I think we need to bring through Lavia, Doyle and so on further in the next 18mths but that is no insult to what Fernandinho has given us this season.

I think he does a 'Vinnie', a low key announcement at the end of the season and he will go back to Brazil or somewhere. Perhaps like Zaba he returns in a few years hopefully as some part of the CFG.

Fernandinho is such a tidy player, very underrated by everyone outside our city bubble. I don't care though I just keep counting the trophies.

As with Silva and Kompany it’s very simple for me. Let Fernandinho decide if he is happy to stay for one more year playing a maximum of 20-25 games. He’s played really well this season and he’s earned another 1 year contract but it should be about what he wants. If we’re all in on a striker this summer not having to buy a midfielder whilst we wait on Lavia will be a bonus.

From the clubs POV losing Agüero’s and Fernandinho’s wages would be very welcome considering how many games they’ve played this past 12 months.

I believe Fernandinho is applying to become a British citizen, getting a British passport.

him on the coaching staff is ever so important. A figure like that in dressing room is essential. Just give him a year extension even, get one of the understudies back from loan and see how it plays out.

Players like Doyle can learn their craft from Dinho , he appears settled in Manchester and is respected by the players he has taken on Vinnie's mantle as the senior player , extend his contract by a year with an option for another year. Remuneration shouldnt be an issue , both parties will come to an amicable solution , he doesnt appear to be motivated by money and our club have to much respect for the guy ot make him a low ball offer.

I used to think this but talking to other fans of other clubs I've heard some say they think he's been our best signing post takeover they also reckon he's a proper dirty bastard (probably is isn't he ;-) but every team needs one. He'll go down as one of our best ever midfielders.

When he retires in 35 years. Extend!

Fernandinho is a generation defensive midfielder there is nobody else is world football like him, he has what Kante has defensively but also has the ability to create he's a great passer of the ball... he could be a playmaker for another team that never thought to play him in a deeper role something Kante could not, when he was younger Fernandinho he was primarily a box to box attacking midfielder in the vein of a young Lampard minus the goals.

We need to do everything we can to keep him here even just as an influence but he's so much more, his understanding of the game defending and attacking as a whole is second to none!!! I honestly wouldn't be totally surprised if he's our next manager post Pep should he stay or become a coach here once he retires.

Has to get another year. Time will catch up with him, possibly over the summer but he's super fit, has the intelligence to not even need to do much running if he really can't move around anymore and he controls games like nobody else in the side. Like to see Pep adapt his minutes so that he's not playing 90 then a week off but instead gets 70 minutes, think he could play more that way. His influence on the dressing room has become very apparent this year, we can't lose that.

One final year from the master let him pass on as much as possible to those around him before moving into Peps coaching staff.

Fernandinho is fluent in Portuguese, English & Ukrainian. I'm sure I read somewhere he also speaks Spanish & Italian. His intellect can't be disputed, & we see his intelligence with tactical fouls every time he plays.

I can't think of a better club Ambassador, Scout, qualified coach & leader of men than Fernandinho. He's never given us a problem in his 7 years at the club & has loyally served us as a model professional. He has to be kept on in a major capacity, as I can think of no one better to convince the next Brazilian Superstar that City is the club for them.
