Had anyone here heard of Fernandinho a month ago? Wondering if he's really someone to be excited about or is he one of those fringe player signings like Sinclair last year.

He was ripping up the Champions League months ago against Chelsea, Dortmund, and Juventus so I reckon a lot of people would have heard of him before a month ago. He's a better player than Barry and Garcia so I don't think he'd be a fringe player.

£20million is a good price for a player of his standard. We paid £4million more for Yaya at a similar age. Fernandinho is a big upgrade on Garcia and Barry who can hack it in the CL.
