He had his best game for us against the Hammers, but still a long way to proving he's worth £30 million...
He's not got to prove his transfer fee....He simply has to improve the team, and he has added a new dimension.

Do you think whatever Torres does he will 'prove to be worth' 50mil? Gareth Bale, anyone?

The price is only how much a club is willing to pay to have a certain player, not their true value, if this even exists. Good luck finding a top player in this in-demand position cheaply.

Already proved his worth and he will only get better with the more games he plays in the best league in the world.

Brilliant performance. Got caught in the ball once in the first half (looked like he didn't get a shout of man on) but did so many little things that were crucial and was once again constantly covering and slowing/stopping their counter attacks

Fernandinho was SUPERB tonight.

Some of his well-weighted forward ground passes were sumptuous!

Fernandinho is almost as good at Busquets at playing one touch passes at any angle.

I also like how he is willing to pass to a player that is under pressure. They best teams like Bayern do this to disorganise teams..and that's something our players don't do enough of.

Another thing is his willingness to pass forward in between the lines, THROUGH the pressure. De Jong and to a lesser extent, Barry, could only dream of doing this consistently. These kind of passes bypass the entire opposition midfield, and Fern has been doing this for us consistently for many games now.

He pulled off a delightful pirouette that he certainly nicked off Silva :-) to seal off a very solid performance.

As Pellers said, Fernandinho is excellent at changing defence to attack, and this surprised me a great deal. It's true. He's like a having a second Yaya at times.

I like him.

Really pleased for him - a lot of doubters early doors, starting to fit in very nicely now, great game tonight. My only concern is a general lack of back up for him and Yaya
