Fernandinho

i think scolari is making the brazil team play in a non-brazilian way. he prefers the team to play physical, direct and counter attack football. hence why the the likes of ramires, paulinho, fred, hulk etc are called up every time.

i don't think fernandinho is going to make it to the world cup.

If Scolari is trying to do that then Fernandinho should be in the team.

His direct running, breaking from midfield with pace and drive, not shirking a tackle and making crucial interceptions is how he has made his name.

he is good for the counter attack. but is he a physical player who tackles a lot ? it's up for debate.

He's more physical than Ramires.

Yes he does actually, he wins loads of tackles and interceptions. One of the best in Europe statistically IIRC for it hence why we bought him.

Aye...there really isn't anything Ramires can do that Fernandinho can't, in fact i'd go on to say that Fernandinho is an upgraded version of Ramires, more refined and polished in possession with a better first touch and a stronger mentality to go with it.

The only thing Ramires has on Fernandinho is age.

i always thought he was more of an interceptor.

okay, so he tackles a lot as well.

fernandinho's problem is that paulinho, gustavo and ramires have been involved in the build up to the world cup and i think it wouldn't be professional for scolari to drop them . then there's many brazilian CM's who can called up instead of fernandinho. e.g. hernanes.

unless manchester city can win one or two trophies this season, i think fernandinho is not going to make it. scolari probably isn't aware that man city is now one of the elite clubs in england. he must be thinking that liverpool and tottenham are bigger and better.

hmmmmmmmm

what i mean is that he isn't like roy keane. he can tackle. but isn't really an aggressive player. i don't just watch every game, after the game i always analyze fernandinho's football by watching the clips uploaded by Train. i also have all the stats so i know what i'm talking about.
