Well in that case, I wonder if Nike will lean on him to sign :D

Don't know why they would, but they might do. It's all a joke anyway, why the fuck should god damn sponsors have anything to do with football? Circus it is.

The interesting thing atm is that the number 9 shirt is available as Bojinov has left so imagine the new home shirt being released as well as a new striker taking up the shirt.... good reason to buy the shirt

I don't think he will come to city. as another poster said earlier, the deal is probably off so mancini can now mention it in the hope that it will bring about a rapid conclusion to the deals involving other targets... Dzeko? Balotelli?

Personally I would rather not buy from an English team simply because that then gives them cash on the hip and kick starts spending of our top 4 rivals.

Also, Torres probably needs 8 weeks to get fully match fit folliowing his injury in the world cup final, i'd rather he was a dipperpool asset sat on the bench than ours.

But no matter how much money we give them , who could replace torres atm . there are not many world class strikers around atm, they could improve their squad thats a given but no matter how much we give them there isnt anyone who can replace torres. Also liverpool isnt exactly an attractive proposition is it , Joe Cole i suspect went there as they gave him the most money , I would make a guess that if we had offered cole more money he would be playin with us this season . They are on a downward spiral and the money wont all go on new players , some will have to be injected into the debt . I think we should offer 30 million and ireland and roque kill 2 birds with one stone , get him on the cheap and offload some of the players that dnt look like having a future at the club.

Oooooh goody gum drops, another Torres thread with the bonus of another argument over how bookies odds are decided, always something new and refreshing on here!

I definitely think you're a Liverpool fan :-)

I'm sorry but the commercialism of football is everything I grew up hating as a City fan. Football is the one thing I thought would be left alone but nope, the bastards had to go and touch that as well. It's pathetic and needs to be shaken up badly. We all said the same before Mansour came in as well I just won't change my team.

Don't read it then
Too late, I already did and I'll never get that time back!

A fair point but I would rather not fund them in the transfer market.
