For me Torres would be the biggest signing ever to be honest it more than likely down to how the Chairman,Cook, and Marwood sell the club there is no doubt that we would offer him more money and add on's etc and can smash what Chelsea can offer both wage's and the Transfer fee.
So can Mr Torres see that within 2 years he will be challenging for both European and domestic titles we may even win the league this year and if he does sign then that target get's a bit closer.
And we are going to be THE big team in the premier league for a long time so it may come down too,is he willing to come a club that is about to make history for the first time in 34 years and about to finally come out of the shadow of that load of shite down the road or does he want 1 year of winning things at Chelsea who we all admit are ahead of us at the present time.
He needs to see the bigger picture and that picture is sky blue ...So come on Fernando it's time to join the crazy train that is Man City ..All aboard .....LOL

I think were just being linked with everyone and its getting boring now reading the back of all the papers in the mornings as there is a new name each day!!!

Dont get me wrong I would love to see Torres at city but FIT!!!!
The only good thing we have that Liverpool dont is that we hav depth there and we wouldnt need to rush him back and hopefully he can recover 100% from his injury issues but do we want to be patient like that knowing there is a risk he could pick up the injury again!!

Think I am just going to sit back now and wait for confirmed signings as there is no way were going to sign every player were linked with so pointless getting high hopes

I don't want us to sign every player we're linked with & I've got very high hopes we'll sign a couple of really good ones so I don't give a toss whether it's Torres or not. Can't think of a better season in history to sit around high hoping like fuck actually.

TALK SHITE at around 5PM - two of our sources says hes off to Chelsea but
one says he is not.

cue numerous bluemoon posts - "hes not worth it" , "we dont need him" , "hes
crocked"

TALK SHITE 7pm news there is no mention of this exclusive.

Havnt listened to TALK SHITE up until 11pm news and apparently we are in for him again.

If nothing else mooners, take what talk shite say with a big pinch.

I stand by what I have been saying for weeks, without the need for spurious clues and meaningless utube music videos. Torres will be a City player by August.

-- Mon Jul 26, 2010 11:30 pm --

Rubbbish. If we were in a position to buy the superior striker, then in our position we would. Thats why you cannot use this arguement to put pressure on another club. If the particular players are of a similar level then yes, but not when you are talking about a superior player. In your world you would go into a Nissan dealership and tell them that if you dont give you £500 of that Micra I am going down the road to by a BMW M5.

Like I said , totally illogical.

But you might go into the BM garage carrying an AMG brochure. Balotelli is younger, fitter and potentially more talented, but is still a risk as never played outside Italy and dodgy temprament. Him and Torres would be a gamble for different reasons, so it makes sense to try and play them off, just as the selling clubs are doing with potential buyers.

Balotelli is signed. AMG arguement redundant.

You sound confident mate, is this your gut feeling or do you know something?

No antagonism intended, genuinely interested.

KFA WUM

On what evidence do you base this assumption. It seems to me you know fuck all. I have stood by what I have said when I started this thread on 2nd of June. Drawing on what I have been told and also, possibly more importantly, looking at the evidence available to all. It amazes me how vehemently some will argue that we have no chance, or even, no intention of signing Torres. I will say it again. Barring a serious problem at the medical, Torres will be a City player. Now wheres this ignore button California.

Anyone else see the late news on the BBC state we are not in for Torres and that despite opinion to the contrary SWP, Bridge and Bellamy are going nowhere!
Was not listening attentively at the beginning so not sure if it was a Mancini quote or not.

Smoke and mirrors. BBC website story says City are distancing themselves , and yet in the article the only quotes are from Mancini saying that if the situation was right we would sign him. Article disagrees with itself.
