Fernando Torres

i agree here if i was a cynical man it could be argued all baconchops needs to do tell vidic to take out tevez make sure he doesnt play for a few weeks. they walk away with the title and we fight like fuck for 4th place. which could prove difficult if our goals dried up. but only a cynical man would think that

Yes i have we have only 3 first team striker that can score goal's Tevez (proven in the prem)
Dzeko (unproven but will score ) Balo (has scored but is injury prone)
And if any of them get injured who is going to score Jo !!! FFS don't think so.
Yes we have some young propects but thats all they are at this time.

Can we really risk playing young unproven players in the premier league say against the scum if Tevez get injured in training like Aj has,We have not got the depth after letting Ade and Rsc go to have a go staying in the top4 never mind the league.

Fernando Torres is subject to an imminent bid from Manchester City

The deal is not yet clear, although, it is thought that Adam Johnson will be offered as bait, and City plan to Trump Chelsea with a bid in the region of £70 million.

Bloody hell is this true, a bit expensive me thinks.

Maybe not, City will show their hand tomorrow!

Not that i wouldn't want him here, of course i would but why would we be in for him? Tevez Dzeko Balotelli, and jo, i know we will maybe need a bit of cover if one or two of them goes down, but if the likes of Torres is only going to play if someone else gets injured is a bit too much to ask imo. Torres is certain starter for any team, as are most of our strikers, so if were pushing it now it would be going too far to sign another world class striker imo

Spanish TV news (TVE which is equivalent of BBC1) reported it as a done deal which will be rubber stamped tomorrow about 45 minutes ago. The price they gave was "somewhere over 50 million euros".

Liverpool will invite us to bid now it's clear than Torres wants to leave. If only to get a higher transfer fee!

If thats true the fine but i do think we are a better bet for him and he is settled in the north west with his family was hoping big dave was going to have a word in his ear.
And in regards to your other post i think we glamourous enough for him in fact i think we have a whole better package than chelsea the only think that is missing is champs league and that problem will be sorted next year.
To me it will be a mistake for him to go to a ageing team like Chelsea and does Roman really want to spend the money to replace the like of Terry and Lampard ,etc

It would certainly make sense for them to do that.

When i said glamerous i meant in terms of history and prestige, Torres is very much a person who gives a fcuk what ppl think and he doesn't want to be seen as a money grabber. Infact David Villa said something similar that he would go chelsea over us.

hmmm...can't see it on RAWK, nothing from TVE website either...

They locked the thread a while back, just looked the thread has gone. If you are not familiar with rawk its a sensitive forum mods lock most threads and delete.

But the fact remains that if that really ment something to him then he wouldn't be leaving Liverpool even tho they have fucked him about he is supposed the be a lifelong fan if that was me i would not care if i had to put up with a few seasons of not playing in the champions league i would still be playing for the club i love but i guess in the real world that doesn't happen
