He looked great in our first two games and then got injured didn't he.

Absolutely awful ever since.

Both very average players although I did begin to like Garcia towards the end of the title winning season when Pellegrini shifted to a 4-2-3-1 alongside fernandinho. Really was looking forward to watching Fernando after seeing him boss some CL games for Porto but hes offered nothing since he signed. At least Garcia had a physical prescence about him in the middle. Need to get the midfield sorted as I cant see us winning the title or challanging in the CL with just toure, Fernando and Fernandinho. United have added a world cup winner and Schneiderlin and Chelsea look like their going to sign Aranguiz. Really hope we can wrap up the Pogba deal.

Both not good enough. City are likely to keep Fernando for another season, but I think we need top class DM who can also pass forward properly, not just "specialist".

Fernando like Garcia will come good this season. But as usual, it will take many half the season to see it. Fernando did not become crap overnight. He was a good player at Porto, and he will be a good one here.

I think I remember he had a good couple games around late Nov or early Dec and the Nando-Dinho partnership looked promising. Went downhill after.

I thought Garcia was OK. He contributed in a number of games in the last title winning season. Hull away after Vinny got sent off springs to mind. We all remember Silva's contribution that day but Garcia had an excellent game IIRC.

Give it a break! He has made 6 appearances in the league this season and we are judging him already. He has come from a completely different style of play, let him adapt to it. Garcia was the same when we first signed him. Let him settle and then we can judge him.

I thought he looked quite fast before his injury. Needs to get to full Prem match fitness and then we shall see the best of him..

Was just wondering what your analysis was now you had a full season to asses Fernando? (I'm not on the WUM by the way, I'm genuinely interested in your thoughts).

Personally, I stick by everything I said in the OP.
