But no, doesn't look like anything will happen before the World Cup. IMO, we'll try and sign Benatia now and if we fail, we'll hope Chelsea don't move for Mangala and return for him. If that fails too, there's always others... Hummels, Godin, Pepe...

Chelsea already bought their young Terry replacement, which is why they are giving Terry one more year and give him time to acclimate!

KURT ZOUMA

Kurt Zouma signed for Chelsea from St. Etienne on the final day of the January 2013 transfer window but remains on loan at the French club for the rest of the season, having already made 52 league appearances for 'Les Verts' and scored four goals.

The 19-year-old central defender joined Chelsea on a five-and-a-half year contract and is a 6ft 2in French Under-21 international.

He was born in Lyon and joined St. Etienne as a 15-year-old in 2009, turning professional in 2011.

After signing for the Blues Zouma was loaned back to St.Etienne for the remainder of the 2013/14 season.

While the centre of defence is where he's most comfortable, Zouma can also play right-back.

He held down a regular place in the St.Etienne side during the second half of the season and turned in some accomplished displays for a player of such a young age.

I really don't want Mangala as I can just see him being an expensive flop.

The lad has potential but I wouldn't want to pay 40m for potential, he isn't even a regular for France and Porto are demanding a ridiculous fee.

Benatia for me.

But Roma are asking for 50m for Benatia. Don't think either is worth that kind of money. Would rather go for Godin or Garay.

I agree, would be good to see either one rather than over pay to the extent that Roma or PSG want.

Garay is off to Bayern mate.

In regards to Benatia I still don't think Roma are going to meet Benatia's wage demands and in result he could force himself out leaving us to get him for a cheaper price.

Godin would be great but I realy don't see Simeone allowing his team to be taken apart and ow they have won the league and reached the final of the Champions League it should allow them to keep some of their key members of the squad.

Whoever we buy this summer I reckon we are going to be paying anything in the region of 30-40m, PSG buying David Luiz has pretty much inflated the market for defenders this summer, whether that was part of the plan I don't know but everybody knows City, United, Barca, Bayern and Liverpool are after top notch defendersin this window.

Whoever we go for, another £10m is added to the asking price. FFP won't make any difference to the selling club, they will just be hoping we will cough up and instead sell off one of our better players at cut price just to attempt to balance the books. It's dog eat dog in the markets that we operate in.
