We've not had the CM's to do this before because Garcia is so pedestrian and cautious with the ball. By the looks of the video's, Fernando has a much better passing range which is so important in that deep lying role.
I don't think we'll play it every week, but possibly in Europe we could see:
..................Fernando
........F'dinho...........Yaya
Silva............................Nasri
...................Aguero
That looks a match for any team in Europe to me.
That's almost exactly how I'd like to see us line up with Fernando, the only difference being I think we could eventually see Jovetic displace Nasri. Either I think would be an exceptional front 6.
We could do that or when we face Chelsea home/away go with a 4-2-1-2-1, With Fernando and Fernandinho being the holding midfielders focusing on Chelsea's inevitable counter attacks and we could have Yaya sit in front with Silva, Nasri behind Dzeko or Negredo. I honestly think Aguero/Jovetic might be better coming off the bench against a negative team like Chelsea or even if we get drawn against Simeone's Atletico, With Aguero starting it gives Mourinho more time to instruct his CB's how to play him instead of catching them cold after 65/70 minutes. Chelsea is the one team we have to strategically worry about more than any other team, We have shown we can hang with Barca and Bayern via our style of play but Chelsea requires us giving them a bit of their own medicine.
