It was always going to be the case, Skash, n'est pas?
To some extent, but the magnitude of it has surprised me yes. It's all something to do with internet personas, which is not something I understand, although I might be speaking to the man who can help me.

-- Thu Sep 05, 2013 9:03 am --

I think a lot of the worries from the fans comes from the sudden uncertainty of the performances. Under Mancini whilst we had become predictble and possibly a little boring we were a very hard team to breakdown and score against, hence a very hard team to beat. After the last 2 games that is now no longer the case, or at least appears to be no longer the case. That confidence has gone. As the confidence of some of our players appears to have gone. 'Fragile' it has been described as. I would say more brittle again this is worrying.
As a number of posters have already pointed out if we had played some 'top' or better teams who have top class strikers we could very well be sitting on just 3 points right now. Our defence which was once a fortress now looks like a colander and that is very unnerving.

Whilst some posters on here show admirable blind faith and positivity a lot of other are basing their judgments on what they have seen in the last 2 games and they are worried with what they see. We will have a much better idea of how the season will pan out after the next 2 games. We need a minimum of 4 points from those 2 games otherwise the worries will start to become more pronounced and 4 points from the next 2 games is not going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination. It looks like it is going to be an interesting season.

The manager we had needed backing not sacking. In that they failed.

Agreed

this.

nothing changes at Manchester city. we are skilled at shooting ourselves in the foot, we've done it for 40 years.
And sell the majority of the first team squad in stead, including out captain and the best midfielder in the league?

Yeah that would have been much better.....

If Mancini had played without Kompany and Nasty then we would have looked leaky as well, don't forget the fact that we have only conceded 3 goals and the normally reliable Zaba was at fault for all 3. It is still far too early to judge.

Bit harsh, the 2 corners yeah but Yaya & Clichy were more at fault for the first.

Zaba let Cambell go for the other as well without passing him on to the CB's

Now you know how we used to feel about you and Dave.

Very very lazy argument.

The extent of the role reversal is bloody shocking though. You and Dave are tubthumping happy clappers. A number of the Inners are now highly pessimistic. I am entertained.

The not so subtle difference is we're three games into a season, two of which we've won. Pellegrini's been in charge 8 week. That alone suggests there are people who don't want to give the new manager a chance and are willing him to fail. If you're suggesting that's how we were with Mancini you're just plain wrong.

As for internet persona's, I dunno, you'll have to ask GDM whether my real life persona is any different from the internet one.
