He actually becomes our all-time record sale.

It's a decent fee in an environment where not too many clubs are willing to pay £55m for anybody at present.

He was only ever going to move to another club in Spain at some point, so take the money while we can.
Tolmie any possibility we will now make a move in the window to bring a replacement in or is the Vlahovic talk just that all bluster..

I'm not upset at all tbh. It stings we gave him the #21 shirt and he stayed for 1.5 years but if his heart is set on the move so be it. We received solid value for him.
He's young and talented but, in my opinion, Cole Palmer can provide just as good cover for our attacking players as Ferran. Obviously, Ferran is more established particularly internationally but Palmer is the guy!

Is he really worth more than £50m?
Concensus seems to be its significantly too little but really?
I think it's a good fee for a player that I could never see being an unchallenged first choice in his position> He may push on at Barce and make the fee look too little but I just could not see him doing that at City.

Anyway good luck to the lad and enjoy your Thursday night football.

Shame, really liked him but looks like homesickness has got the better of him after long covid then breaking his foot.
Decent if not outstanding business. He’s worth more but nobody else would probably pay more, if that makes sense.
Quietly, it also seems to be quite the little endorsement of Cole Palmer’s development as well
Of course we still need a ruthless striker. Preferably one who can head the ball
Apparently he's not unhappy or homesick or anything of the sort at City. It's just that Barcelona have convinced him he'd be better off there, and it seems he's in full agreement.
