Had high hopes for him at City.
His foot injury at the euros was pivotal in him leaving as he never got to prove himself this season.
The only plausible reason for letting him go mid season is that we are replacing him in January and I think Vlahovic is incoming.

I'll be honest, I saw a lad who could score goals against poor teams, but I wasn't imagining him tearing a strip off anyone above average, not in England, at any rate.

The biggest problem I saw with Torres was that he couldn't impose himself on games when the going got tough. Too many would pass him by and he lacked the physical strength to cope in the Premier League.

I actually think that he'll do very well in Spain. The league is more suited to him, but even if he does score 25+ goals a season, I won't be thinking we made a mistake.

For me, it's a good deal for Torres, Barcelona and City.

55 million euros....not 55 million pounds with the potential to rise to 65 million euros. More than we got for Sane but presumably Pep doesn't see him as untouchable so hopefully a top notch addition arriving before the start of next season (if not sooner).
