I like Ferran Torres. I think he’s a very good young player and a fantastic prospect. In an ideal world I would like to see him stay as I genuinely believe he could be Sergio’s successor.

However the boy isn’t happy and wants to return to Spain. If the BBC numbers are accurate we will be getting a total of about £55m which I think is a pretty good return on a player we only signed about 16 months ago.

Now I’d like to see us invest that money in a new striker.

I’m not sure about generational talent, he’s a similar age to Haaland, Mbappe, Vlahovic and our very own Phil Foden. He‘s a good young player but he’s not Lionel Messi.
