Why are you quoting List A regs when we're talking about List B??
because those are the relevant ones for determining whether Nastasic is eligible as a locally trained player and can be counted as one of the five - if that's how it turns out. The B list only contains players who turn twenty one in the current season, Nastasic turned 21 last season. I'm going to write a scholarly monograph on this.

It's nothing to do with "locally trained for List A"!! List B has its own separate criteria which Nastasic will meet at the start of next season for one season only as he will ineligible for List B by reason of age from 2015/16. He was born on 28/3/1993 - after the 1/1/1993 date specified in para 18.17 of the List B regs. For 2015/16 season Nastasic will revert to being a "non-HG List A" player if selected.

Marcos Lopes also qualifies for List B for next season but because he is younger he will become "club trained List A" for 2015/16 season.

are you assuming that because a player is on the B list he will be eligible to play in the CL as a locally trained player - which is the whole point of this interesting discussion?

"Locally trained" only refers to the reserved 4 places in List A. There is no such phrase for List B in the regs - just the two paras that I quoted above.

The point is we can have as many players as we like on the B-list and he fulfils the criteria, having been with us two full seasons now and was born after 1/1/93. If he's on the B-list then he frees up a space on the A-list.

that's completely incorrect, we can only play Nastasic as a foreign trained player and consequently he uses up one of the places (be it 13,14,15,16 or 17) in the squad for non- locally trained players (2,3 or 4 of whom have to be club trained - #lancs blue)

For List B the only criterion apart from age is to have been at the club for 2 continuous years which Nastasic has been, List B is completely separate from the requirements for List A.

Wrong Nastasic will be on the B list next year as he will be with us over 2 years and born after 1st of January 1993.

There is no nationality requirement for the B-list.
