Fifa 11 and PES 11 demos available for 360 now!!

The good thing is they are different styles of football game.
For me ISS98 was the last truly outstanding game of its genre. Every PES game since seemed like a tweek of that. And it went stale for me and over complicated. Fifa was never and option until I tried the demo for fifa 10. Its great. Simple, easy to pick up, and reminds me why i loved ISS.

Have to say after playing both i'm not impressed with Pro Evo, still feels very robotic and heavy to me, the ball is still louder than the crowd and the players still do stupid things. For example I was breaking with Barcelona, I passed the ball to Iniesta and he jump 3 steps away from the ball for no apparent reason.

FIFA 11 on the other hand is the complete opposite, it feels like Pro Evo used to when it was on the PS2, complete control with passes, crossing and shooting. The agile players feel really light to control, whereas the heavy centre-halfs feel clumsy when you go past the half-way line. Really enjoying it so far.

It a shame what happened to PES because I used to love it back in the day, but it plays nothing like it used to. I'll be buying FIFA this year.

I've always been a fifa man, and my brother was always pro so we always had both. I never liked pro but a few years ago i got into it a bit but still prefered fifa, then after last years attempt by pro even my brother played fifa more and with him not living here anymore i wasn't going to buy pro. But afterplaying the demo i will be getting both because i'm really impressed with pro and going by the demos it is probably a better game. Fifa was great last year for two players but was far too easy against computer and got really boring ( i was beating teams like chelsea 4-0 with hull on legendary) so i hope they have this sorted out, its hard to tell off the demo as the game is over before you have started

Well PES is definitely completely different this year, Konami have done what they should have done after PES 2008 and completely overhauled the game. In previous years it would have taken me about 2 or 3 matches to get the hang of the new PES and for it to become as easy as the last one, but not this year, I've played 5 matches on the demo and lost 5-0, 2-0, 3-1, 3-0 and 2-1.

As for FIFA, well the last one I played was FIFA '02 and that was shit... You see, if I don't play FIFA, that means it can't be better than PES...

Pes demo is shite, scored with my first shot. Looks awful im devastated. Will keep playing but I am seriously underwhelmed :/

Seen a nice touch in the PES demo, skied a shot over the bar and the keeper followed it, jumped and hung off the bar.

Ono, i gave it another go today, i'm a FIFA convertee, it was PES without question for me until 2006 and next gen consoles.

It's still way behind FIFA for me this year, if the demo's are anything to go by.

What FIFA have done really well this year, is make it feel like each player on the ball is different... the touches, dribbling, passing... its so differnet lumbering round with John Terry than it is gliding round with Iniesta.

I think they've made the controls on FIFA much more manual, the pass metre shows, as you execute your pass what the 'perfect' power should have been, plus the direction you hold bears much more significance to where the ball ends up than in 10.

I'll always thank PES for kick starting this war that has lead to where we are now, with much higher standard football games, but i can't see PES being much competition for FIFA anytime soon, it's been on a differnet level for a few years now.

The fanboys are resorting to making stuff up now just to make the game they like sound better? Mate, PES demo doesn't even have commentary.

I guess you're one of those 'fanboys makin.g stuff up'? The fifa demo does have commentary, which is what Bob was saying ;)

although i am going to buy fifa it just doesn't feel like every player is different, thats got to be a lie

yeah that doesn't happen with Fifa. There might be a difference between Terry and Messi, but there's not the subtle differences between similar players like there is in PES.

Got round to playing the fifa demo too.

That's brilliant too (similar to the very good world cup game).

Both games seem great to me. Looks like I will be purchasing both this year
