FIFA delegates getting their cummupence! Blatter GONE today.

Because our governments don't rely on FIFA to help them administer their taxation system?

Ah you mean tax evasion. Thanks.

I asked earlier who is providing the bribe money, do we know yet ?
Maybe the competing Countries, maybe FIFA money, maybe the FBI ?

How they would boycott it and their boss platini voted for qatar the same with spain add to that all the qatar money involved in europe ? Its just a bubble for other reasons which is mote power for uefa in fifa simple they dont want one country one vote.
Did Platini or Blatter vote for Russia 2018?

Platini, as others have said, is probably far worse than Blatter. I don't propose to libel him on Ric's forum but you know what I'm saying!
I really would not be surprised if he didn't simply double cross Qatar when the time comes.

I'd agree with you UEFA is certainly against the principles of democracy. It wants to keep all the money.
The way club football is run by the G14 cartel is evidence that UEFA is no better than CONCACAF
as is the voting record of some of it's delegates.

Platini's cop out for FFP when it was hijacked by the G14 was "It's what the clubs wanted."
I'm sure he'll just fob Qatar off with something similar. He's another Teflon man.

I don't have a problem with Russia having the world cup ,think they'll do it well, but Qatar , they've had to fuck up a season for it, its not a footballing country and to top it off the guy they show when its announced that they've won it looks like a fucking fraggle

I'm guessing that the game would split in 2. All UEFA countries, clubs and players would be banned from FIFA competitions.

A player like Aguero would have to decide whether to play for City or Argentina. Since all the money is in Europe the vast majority of non European players would still play here and be essentially rebels like the top cricketers in the Kerry Packer era.

I still think that UEFA won't dare boycott Russia 2018. Russia is a UEFA member and Gazprom a major sponsor. Qatar 2022 is the tournament that they would boycott. It will destroy 3 seasons apparently in terms of having to reschedule club matches. There's just too much money at stake to do that. UEFA is dominated by the clubs and not the nations unlike the other confederations.

I'm thinking UEFA would make the European Championships a bi-annual event with guest nations invited. The USA would obviously follow UEFA's lead and drop out of FIFA as would Australia. The big question would be could UEFA also persuade Brazil and or Argentina to join them? Since money shouts rather than talks I'm guessing they might especially if their best players have already voted with their feet.

The whole thing would be terrible for football, essentially putting it back to where it was in the 50s or 60s where it wasn't really a global game. Personally I'd be amazed if it goes that far. I can't see Qatar hosting in 2022.

Am i the only one that kind of wants to see a split like this? I know it wouldn't be great for football, it's more just an interest in seeing how something that huge would pan out.

Blatter publicly stated he voted for England and Usa. Platini stated he voted for Russia and Qatar ( for the last country he even stated i was received by sarkozy who was with the emir of qatar so i understood france want qatar but after all i was always going to vote for qatar)

These are 10 countries I feel should be granted more voting power. I don't feel a small nation like Cayman Islands should hold same rights as Brazil. I am thinking possibly categorise the voting power, so Cayman Islands can only contribute 1 point where as Brazil/Germany can contribute 5 points to the election. 10 nations that should have most power IMO are brazil germany france spain england usa argentina uk russia italy. Possibly more power to nations like Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Nigeria as well.

No, definitely not. Democratic or nothing. Why the fuck should any of these countries get more power? They already have a huge advantage in terms of financial and human resources.

Greg Dyke is all mouth and no action.

Just an old man who thinks he can mix it in the big league with the real big bigs of World Football.

If England want to boycott the World Cup then do it, the rest of the World won't miss them. Football is a World game modern football is awash with money which dictates it (and let's not pretend the FA are innocent when there's alleged reports of England corruption), and little Englanders need to realise it.

I suspect England will eat humble pie (again) and play in the World Cup, as usual, empty threats from the British.

The U.S FBI in their fancy suits and blazers are the ones who deserve praise for not doing empty threats but action. The World police on everything, the world leaders.

God bless America. Here to save our souls again ;-)

You could also add the at least 1200 almost enslaved workers who have perished so far in constructing the frigging thing !!! Thats 64 for each game to be played and rising - FIFA would be up in arms if 64 fans were killed at each game FFS !!! That dwarfs Hillsborough, Bradford and Hysel combined and they all warrant investigations and days of mourning. Blatter has that blood on his hands too - still not his fault - as he says he can't be watching everybody doing everything all the time can he??

You have to admire the cheek of the man. He just won't be moved, will he? It's fucking hilarious.

Blatter's fault? How come I am hearing he was the one who voted USA instead of Qatar? I am not really sure about this though but can you really say it was his fault that Qatar won the World cup bid?

As head of the organisation who's name is on the trophy then yes - for example Toyota are recalling cars due to potentially faulty airbags - they don't make the airbags but do they say " talk to the makers? "

If they are going to let a country get into the bidding stage they HAVE to be satisfied that country can provide a bid on time on budget and without the wholesale slaughter of the construction workers - without exploiting them would be handy too.

His 1200 figure is also bullshit as well by the way.

Just some fans who like to be angry and don't like to be correct. Sad, really.

To add to that - had we got the bid do you think the FA for all its failings would have taken on the tournament and hired in "bonded" labour from abroad by housing them - charging them a large percentage of their wage for said housing - holding onto their passports so they can't leave and only letting them have them back "at a cost" and overseeing construction that led to over 1200 deaths?

And bear in mind there were 12500 men involved in the Olympic Park construction and rather than 10% of them dying on site there were no deaths at all - probably how Seb Coe is able to sleep at night. Sorry but for me Blatter as head of the overall shooting match carries this can too - not that it has any effect on the thick skinned bleeder !!

Go to You Tube and watch the C4 news report by Alex Thompson then - thats my source what is yours to discredit it? How many deaths would you care to quote Damocles? What is an acceptable level?

In some ways I admire his stubbornness and his "don't give a feck" attitude, no politically correct bollox like the world is full of today with sheep and clones. Atleast he has personality even if it is of a control freak.

I can't discredit a specific figure unless you give me a specific source. Not "somebody that I saw on the telly". Numbers, data, something tangible.
