So the scousers who are behind this GDP with the rags , will have a player returned that they don't want and no transfer money that they need.

And a 40 million loss.. shame..

Re: Financial Fair Play will not affect us.

FFP will lead to oblivion. The lure of the league is the money and glamour, if there is no money about it will be like going back to the 80s watching turgid football on shite muddy pitches. But this is what the likes of Manchester United and arsenal want, they want other clubs so blinded by the jealous and hatred of the sugar daddies and things they don't have that they won't see themselves being castrated at the end of it. Alright if you have a big fanbase and masses of debt, but if you have a smaller one then you are basically screwed.

Well west ham have announced they cannot buy andy Carroll because of the new FFP rules. Why are other clubs so for this ? Seems like a vote out of spite without realising the implications for their own clubs

Nothing to do with FFP. They just don't want to buy him at the price Liverpool would like.

Exactly. It's called negotiation. Remember when Fat Sam talked up the price for Crocky? And Hughes was daft enough to pay it.

Business Desk North West.

MANCHESTER City FC has extended its international commercial footprint with a deal with an energy drinks brand covering Nigeria and Indonesia.

The partnership sees Extra Joss becoming City's exclusive energy drinks partner in Indonesia and Nigeria.

As part of the link-up City stars David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure will feature in a special Extra Joss TV advert, which will air for the first time in Indonesia later in the year.

Tom Glick, chief commercial and operations officer for Manchester City Football Club, said: “We are delighted to add Extra Joss to our family of partners at a time when the club is rapidly expanding our global fan base.

“Indonesia is well known as one of the world’s largest football markets and home to some of its most passionate fans. We are looking forward working with Extra Joss to generate even more excitement and to provide new opportunities for access and participation with City for fans across the country.

“Africa’s affinity and talent for football is plain to see for anyone tuning into to the Cup of Nations tournament – an event in which we are proud to have had numerous City players competing.

"We as a club have also seen this passion at first hand in Nigeria following our recent visit to a Lagos Soccer School. The enthusiasm, skill level and football potential across all ages was truly impressive.”

Commenting on the deal Simon Jonatan, managing director of PT Bintang Toedjoe, which owns Extra Joss, said: "As the number one energy drink brand in Indonesia, Extra Joss is very selective when choosing a partner. We are very proud to work in partnership with Manchester City to make history and work together to grow Indonesia's interest in football."

As part of the deal, Extra Joss will be allowed to use City players and the Club crest in advertising, packaging and point-of-sale within Extra Joss’s sales networks.

Re: Financial Fair Play will not affect us.

One problem regarding FFP is that whilst UEFA are a bunch of puzzies when it comes to punishing one of the big teams (of which we are now), the United-governed Premiership won't stop to think for a second before stripping away points and such when the mere sniff of opportunity arises.

Re: Financial Fair Play will not affect us.

David Conn just wrote this about us in his club-by-club finances breakdown. Last part the most relevant, it's what many have said but is reassuring coming from him.

The most spectacular example ever of an individual from the global super rich buying an English football club and funding it to success. Courtesy of Sheikh Mansour's oil-based fortune, ran a wage bill £40m higher than Manchester United's, from income £90m lower, and won the Premier League with the 94th minute goal by £38m Sergio Aguero. The accounts show a striking contrast between modest matchday income, £22m, with ticket prices lower than London prices, and £121m commercial income, substantially via sponsorships from Abu Dhabi companies. City say the £99m loss will come down, and given exemptions in the rules, they will comply with Uefa's financial fair play next season.

I've just read today that, according to Forbes, Man City are now worth over $600 million dollars! Man bloody City. A club that wasn't worth tuppence ten years ago is now all of a sudden supposedly worth over half a billion: Make no bones about it, English football is in a bubble and that bubble will burst.
