Fined £260,000 for Villa pitch invasion.

Fences for the last game of the season maybe. We don’t have a history of invading the pitch at any other time.

I would have to parachute down from level 2.
Swansea 2018, title already won and three games to go.

It was partially that and partially that the bus couldn’t get there, unless that was in the rearranged match.

Either way, the game didn’t go ahead because of criminal behaviour.
That was the rearranged one.

Anyhow, as usual, reasonable people are allowed to disagree. I think we can agree per the post by @Mazzarelli's Swiss Cheese there certainly does seem to be an imbalance/illogic between the levying of fines in the sport and the behavio(u)r said fines are supposed to discourage/encourage.

Sure. That’s because a £30k fine is peanuts to us, but fine a Moldovan club the same and it’s a big deal for them. UEFA should link fines to clubs’ turnovers.

Club brought in £569.8m while playing behind closed doors during COVID-19. £260k really isn't a lot of money. Maybe next time we win the league and don't invade the pitch we could split it among the lowest paid staff in bonuses? After all they enable the players to perform their best as much as anyone. Including Guardiola.

Club losses ran into hundreds of millions during Covid.
Or perhaps instead of having to pay the fine they could give us free entry to the fa cup third round. Or
Are you blaming the pitch invasions on Guardiola for being successful ?

Nothing but that's not what happened, right? The match was postponed because security was breached inside the stadium. Especially in this day and age -- the stadium (like an airplane at a gate) has to be "swept" before play. Had no breach occurred and the players left their hotels and tried to get to the stadium and couldn't that would be different.
A major reason why that game was postponed was because the COVID protocols in place at the time were completely tossed aside by the invaders. Behind closed doors games simply weren't permitted to go ahead if there was any possibility of one person that might have tested positive for the virus getting access to a sensitive area of the stadium.
People already tend to forget what crazy times those were.

No mate I'm saying the club are loaded and an incentive like that (bonuses for lowest paid club staff) would probably incentivise us pitch invaders to stay in our seats a lot more than a very rich organisation having to pay the equivalent of 5 days extra of Kevin de Bruyne's wages.

But you won't stop just because the club ask you not to ?
Do you not really feel part of the club or want to share its values ?

Tbh with you I don't think the club really care. If they did they've plenty of resources to ID us all and ban us. But they've never said anything other than the equivalent of "they're all very naughty boys". Me personally myself I've really enjoyed in 2012 getting to personally congratulate Dzeko.
